I grab the money and walk out the door. "Don't you have class or something?" Cherry asks as we walk. "Um, not really. I kinda got kicked out of class for the rest of the week. And next week we have off for Spring Break so..." We keep walking. When we finally reach town, we see that it's mostly empty. "Why aren't there many people in this area." Cherry asks. "We're a small, trashy, town." I walk a few feet ahead of her. We reach our first destination: the grocery store. We go in and end up buying a ton of food. The total is $203.82. Even though it's only one-fifth of the money, I get dizzy just thinking about that price. We take the groceries back to my dorm and then walk back to town to continue shopping. Our next destination is a discount furniture shop. We get a bunch of cool stuff, colourful bedding, a new couch, new mattress, and other junk. This bill is a lot higher, leaving us with a little less than one hundred. "Now what?" I ask Cherry, walking out into the street. She looks from my head to my toes. "Clothes shopping."
Cherry drags me into a bunch of clothes stores. We get the best sales and I end up with a lot of new clothes. I smile as we walk out. I suddenly stop. I feel pain run through my leg, around my knee. I sit on a bench and pull up my pant's leg. The wrap has blood coming through it. "What happened?" Cherry asks. "N...nothing." I say, quickly pulling the leg down and standing up. "We should go home now." I start walking.
When we get home, I immediately go rewrap my knee. It doesn't look too good. And it's still bleeding some. I feel like downing a whole bottle of medicine. I take only two though and go into the living room to help Cherry with the groceries. I take my bags of clothes and go to my room. I fill my empty dressers, then make lunch with our abundance of food. I can't help smiling the whole time. I look at Cherry, sitting on the couch. She glances at me. "What?" I hug her. "Okay, okay. That's enough." I let up. "What's up with you?" she asks. "You've done so much for me. And now I have things. Many things. Thank you."
