"Tash, wala namang problema kung maging kayo ulit. Ang aking lang, maging sigurado ka. Kung sa tingin mo ikaw lang nahirapan sa break up niyo noon. Kaming lahat, Anak." sabi sakin ni Mama habang na sa phone.
Napabuntong hininga naman ako. I can't afford to lose Donny again.
"Ma, dahan dahan naman po ako. Hindi naman po kami padalos dalos ng desisyon. Mahal ko pa rin po si Donny, Ma. Sana maintindihan niyo po yun." sagot ko.
"Naiintindihan ko, Anak. Pero hindi ko na kakayanin pang masaktan ka niya ulit." sabi ni Mama.
"Alam ko po, Ma. I love you. Wag ka na po masyadong mag-alala ha." sabi ko.
Narinig ko ang pagbuntong hininga ni Mama.
"Para sa ikaliligaya mo Anak. I love you too" sagot nito at saka ibinaba.
My parents aren't here with me. Na sa ibang bansa sila. Doon kasi talaga kami dati naka-base. Pero simula nung nag-16 ako, lumipad ako dito. I don't know. Maybe because I believed kaya ko ng maging independent. My parents didn't abandon me when it comes to my needs. They were always there. They let me do the things that I wanted. I studied here. I finished my high school here. Sa Brent. Kaya ko rin nakilala si Donny. Ahead siya sakin ng dalawang taon. It's like a story of a Senior who fell in love with the Freshie. Hahaha. Sobrang cliche pero yun talaga story namin e. Though, aminado ako, ako talaga nagpapansin sa kanya. Crush ko na kasi siya, sa TV palang. Kaya I didn't want to lose the chance to meet him that time nung sa Brent ako nag-aral.
Juskelerd. Kung alam niyo lang pinagdaanan kong butas ng karayom para pansinin ako ni crush noon. It was all worth it though. Kasi napasa-akin siya.
Flashback
July, 2013 Freshmen Orientation
I'm here at the orientation because I just transferred. Though, I'm going to start my school year at the second half it since I just dropped out from school in States. Thank God that Brent did understand that I didn't want to retake almost everything I learned already. And my grades were high enough for such accomodation.
It's chaotic here. Many cliques and I feel so small since I don't know anyone here yet. It's around 8:30am and the assembly will start around 9. Might as well, I'm going to grab some food before I enter again the hall.
So I went out and searched for the cafeteria. I saw some girls talking and made my way there to ask where the cafeteria is.
"Uhm. Hi, excuse me." I said.
And these 3 girls stared at me.
"Yes po?" one girl said.
"I'm kinda lost. I'm new here." I said shyly.
"Oh. Are you heading out somewhere?" One girl asked.
"Yeah. I was wondering where the cafeteria is." I answered.
"Ohh. Halika, doon din punta namin." She said.
I looked somewhat puzzled.
"Ay I'm sorry. I mean let's go there. That's where we are heading too." she said once again.
I laughed a little bit.
"Nakakaintindi naman ako ng Filipino. Pero mabagal ko natatranslate. Hehe. Sorry if I confused you there." sabi ko.
They all laughed and introduced themselves. They are Clarisse, Nell, and Claire.
They don't seem like the mean girls but they are for sure talkative.
"Dito na tayo. Let's eaat!!" sabi ni Claire.
"Yez, finally! Gutom na ako!!" sabi ni Nell.
"Uy, imik ka naman dyan Anastasia." sabi sakin ni Clarisse.
