It should have been just being 'civil' with her, but it seems like being friendly with her intern got Lauren liking Camila more than just being friends.

"Lauren?" She broke her stare from the intern who's busy taking notes to face her smirking friend. "Stop staring at her like that, you creep." Normani teased, making Lauren roll her eyes.

"Why are you here Mani?" Lauren asked deadpanned as she took a look at the blue print of the building. It's Wednesday and it's Camila's field time again.

"Gosh, sometimes I want to be Camila just so you could be nicer to me." She took off the hard hat and handed Lauren another blue print.

"Put your hard hat back on please." Lauren asked, taking the blue print from Normani. "And what are you talking about me being nicer when it comes to Camila. You witnessed how we can't be put in one room together." The other architect smiled and put her hard hat again. Lauren could be the coldest blooded friend she have, but she's really protective and thoughtful without realizing it.

"Well, that was from few week ago. Now, if you two will be left in one room, I bet you'll be shoving your tongues to each other already." She teased. Lauren ignored her and opened the blueprint.

"So what you think?" Lauren studied the blue print. One, two, maybe it took five seconds before she looked up to Normani with a wide smile plastered on her face.

"Oh my God! Is this for real? Are we really doing our project in Thailand?" She asked excitedly.

"Yes girl." They hugged like they just won the lottery. Well, they kinda because it's been their dream since day one. "Miss Cabello signed it just this morning." Normani added after they broke their hug.

"Harry and Ashton is also here right?"

"Yup. The four of us like how we proposed it. We'll fly 2 months from now and we'll be in Thailand for 3 months for the first quarter of the project." Normani informed her.

Lauren smiled happily and embraced the blue print tightly. This is what she's been waiting for years to have. A project in Thailand and now it will all happen.

"The bad news is that you'll have to leave your intern with another supervisor." Normani said, taking a seat. Lauren looked up to her friend and thought about it.

"Then I'll transfer her to another supervisor, what's the big deal with that?" She answered simply.

"As if it won't bother you leaving Camila with someone else." Normani teased, making her friend roll her eyes.

She glanced at her intern who happened to be looking at her also and smiled at her sweetly. She smiled back and looked back to Normani.

"I know how protective and territorial you are, so I suggest you transfer her to Jemima. Aside from she won't hit on Camila, she's pretty good in supervising interns." She said winking.

"Oh my God, I can't believe you're suggesting that I should transfer her to our oldest staff just because you think I'd go fuming in jealousy if someone else will try to get her." She groaned, making Normani laugh.

"And you wouldn't?" Normani challenged her.

"No, I won't!" Lauren answered back with a straight up face.

"Whatever makes you sleep at night Laur." Normani teased, making Lauren smack her shoulder. Well, she's kinda right, though.

Normani bid her goodbye to the other architect and drove back to her project site while Lauren drafted some designs as she waited for the intern.

"Still don't know how to undo your hard hat, I see." Lauren teased her intern, seeing Camila struggle with her hard hat as she approach her. "Let me."  She offered.

As always, Lauren took the liberty to undo the hat which made Camila feel her inside tickle stupidly again. Lauren's proximity and chivalry just does the work.

"Thanks." She mumbled after Lauren successfully undid the hard hat. Thankfully, Lauren turned her back immediately to collect their things, so she didn't notice how she blushed.

They drove off and left the site.

"So, what did you learn from Engr. Richards?" Lauren quizzed, eyes still on the road.

"Well aside from constantly checking me out, nothing much actually. Just the basics you already taught me."

Lauren suddenly stopped the car, making Camila almost knock off from her seat if it wasn't for the seatbelt that prevented it.

"What the hell?!" She hissed, recovering her posture in the seat.

"Richards did that to you and you didn't tell me?" Lauren said frustratingly, making Camila look at her in confusion.

"What are you doing?" Camila asked curiously as Lauren busied herself on her phone. The architect ignored her and continued on typing. "Lauren!" She called.

Lauren looked up with a proud smile in her face and started the car again without taking a look at Camila who's very confused of what just happened.

"Richards won't bother you anymore." She informed the girl as they arrived in the company's parking lot.

"What?" Camila asked curiously as they got out of the car and entered to the elevator.

"I asked the HR and he's been assigned to other project far away from you. So you won't have to deal with him anymore."

Camila looked at her surprised with what she just heard. Can Lauren really do that? But most importantly, why does she have to do it?

"You're being overdramatic with this, you know. The poor man don't deserve that." Camila reasoned out. They're now in Lauren's office.

"Well, he should have thought twice or multiple times before checking out my girl." A slip of the tongue and both her and Camila heard what she just said. They froze for a second before Lauren spoke again. "My intern, I mean." She clarified, taking her seat and pretended to be busy with her laptop.

Camila smiled stupidly with Lauren's slip of the tongue. Whether or not it's something she didn't mean, it just made her day. Her, being Lauren's 'girl', well that's something that could be in her wishlist if she has.
