A/N: in honor of the 10k reads (I can't even compose a good sentence that would show how much I love you, readers, who never left this story. I know 10k is nothing compared to other fanfics but, I mean, I never even thought this would get at least 1k, so I'm really really genuinely happy and thankful for you all) 😭😭😭💛

But yeah, in honor of this milestone, here's another chapter, a new title cover (shoutout to the amazing work of laursexual . They are dope! You all should check them out.)

And a promise of improved story for you all.

Hope you like it! Love you, as always 😘

Life can be so misleading sometimes. One day it makes you believe that everything is good and nothing could go wrong that even in the hardest times of your life, you can always find good from it. It makes you ask yourself how one person could be so lucky to feel this good about life in general when others are struggling to find even one tiny bit of inspiration each waking day.

However, when life throws at you the reality of it's imperfection, your whole system would just then stop believing in something good. And even the most beautiful day can be seen as the worst for you. Because at the end of the day, it's all about perspective; how you see life and how you live it.

And being thrown with both family problem and relationship problem is a turning point to Camila's joyful self. That's why she's sitting in the car with Lauren, avoiding her at all cost, making no noise as much as possible, and mentally preparing about how she'll cry herself out on her bed, alone and disappointed. She's tired.

Lauren can really make her insecure the worst way possible.

Earlier...

"Stop it." Camila giggled as she tried to protect herself from Lauren's attempts of kissing her. Today should be another learning session for Camila where she will be delving in studying more about the different engineering equipments. But few hours and a handful of playful bantering, here they are, messing around the isolated part of the hardware store.

"Okay, I will." Lauren suddenly stopped on her tracks, going to the other aisle of the hardware store, totally ignoring Camila's shocked face and disappointment. She pouted when Lauren just left her there. She was just teasing, that doesn't mean she doesn't want any kisses from Lauren.

"You really abandoned me in there just because I told you to stop kissing me?" Camila whined, walking beside Lauren. The architect forced herself not to crack a smile even how much she wanted to laugh at how Camila pouted and crossed her arms stubbornly.

"Yes, I am. And also, we are here to teach you about engineering equipments. So stop whining in there and let's continue on the lecture." She said in a serious tone.

"More like teach me how to be patient." Camila huffed, still crossing her arms.

"Oh... just few seconds ago, you don't want me to kiss you. Now you're whining because I stopped attempting to kiss you? Are you on your period?" Lauren teased, pinching Camila's cheeks.

"Lauren..." Camila's whining was soon stopped by a pair of her favorite lips attached to hers.

Lauren grinned widely as she immediately broke the kiss, seeing Camila's eyes still closed and lips still anticipating another kiss. Well, she can't leave her disappointed, can she? She'll never get over the fact that she could be this near with Camila. What a life, she thought dreamily.
