Mickey woke up to the sound of the alarm clock for the fourth time this week. Her hand was about to hit the snooze but turned it off instead and sleepily got out of bed.
"what to wear" her mind was saying when she opened the door to her closet. Literally the only thing in her closet was t-shirts. She picked out the one she got at pride last month. It was just a rainbow shirt with a white heart outline in the middle, nothing fancy. She went to her drawer and pulled out her high wasted black button up shorts.
Mickey made her way to the bathroom and brushed her teeth and washed her face. She dared a looked in the mirror, there were little circular scares all over her face. It was absolutely discussing.
"why did I ever pick at my face?!" Now that her acne was under control she could put on a little makeup without breaking out. just some foundation to cover up the embarrassing scares, some wine colored lip stick and blue mascara because she slay like that.
After she was satisfied she went to the kitchen for breakfast.
Her dad was in the kitchen. "hey dad" she said a little wary because of the shirt. he didn't seem to notice.
"hey honey, you never took care of your cloths, go do that now" Her dad said while he was making lunch for her little sister Cassidy.
She groaned as she stomped up the stairs. "don't give me that attitude McKenna!" she heard him say has she closed the door to her room. Mickey hatted the name McKenna. It just didn't suit her... like at all.
She went into her room and checked her phone. She had one message from Amber.
Amber: Hey grrrrrl! Ready for Friday jr?! Gona b another g8 day!
She laughed to herself. Amber has been her best friend since 2nd grade when Mickey moved to California.
Mickey: lol ya. when r u guys coming to pick me up?
Amber: Glad i could lighten the mood! sky's running late as usual. She wouldn't wake up i went into her room and her alarm was ringing for like a minute straight! it was so anoying. anyway we'll b there asap
Mickey: kk cya soon give hunter my love <3
Amber: ok that was a good joke, like he needs more love. my mom litterally gave him a huge bag of cany and he kept running around the house at 11 fracking o clock!
Amber: candy*
Mickey: lol fine, then tell him i say hi xD
Amber: woops too late we just left ah well
After cleaning up the cloths she went down stairs and made waffles and packed her bag. She went to grab her phone and saw a message from her brother.
Ryan: god kill me now math is starting
Mickey: get to class, mom doesn't need u in the principals office again
she put her phone in her pocket just as amber and Sky pulled up. She went to put her shoes "dad im leaving" she yelled up the stairs. "ok by" she runs out the door and into the old minni van."hey guys" she said as she got into the back seat. "hey" Sky said fiddling with the radio. "did you hear about Heather and Sam?" Amber said as she took over the radio wile Sky pulled out of the duplex driveway.
"no what?" Mickey said wondering what could possibly happen between the it couple of the entire school and two of her best friends.
"well you know they've been dating for two years" Mickey nodded remembering when Heather told her that she and Sam where dating. Amber continued,
"well apparently Sam is getting tired of not being in any control, heather has always been the alpha in the relationship and Sam was really sick of it. Mickey remembered that they never fight about anything except control.
They are both the alpha men/women of our friend group. That's why everyone calls them mom and dad. 'I can't believe that they're fighting over this again!" She said as they drove along the long road that takes them to school.
Sky pulled into the high school parking lot. They all got out and continued talking about it as they entered the building. On the way to there lockers there friend Sophia comes up to them and starts talking about her huge crush on Parker (what else is new)
"Soph, give it up he's never noticed you! what makes you think he's going to notice you this time!" Sophia looks at Mickey a little offended. "Look I just don't want you to get hurt ok? i'm sorry" Mickey says this remembering her own hurt...
Sophia just shrugs. 'so anyway as I was saying" Mickey stopped in her tracks and just stared a head. Sophia and Amber stopped too. She'd seen her. Mickey runs in the other direction and hides in the stairwell corner.
Amber and Sophia are close behind and guard her when she passes. Georgia just walks passed, hair swinging and hips moving under her tight skirt. She's holding hands with some guy, god knows who.
"so who's the poor bastard who has to put up with the bitch this week?" Sophia says under her breath so only Mickey can hear. she laughs and they start heading to home room.
"I mean seriously whats her problem?" Amber says. Mickey stays quiet while Sophie has to explain for the hundredth time why Georgia is a bitch.
"Amber! she stole Mickey's boyfriend. And to make it worse jessie even cheated on her with her" Mickey
suddenly comes back. Amber looks at her with her pity face. Mickey looks at Amber and they have the bff psychic conversation.
Mickey looks at Amber and her look says "we didn't even do anything, and he and G only sexted" Amber's look changes and says "still babe you didn't deserve that"
Sophia interrupts them and says "ok I know you guys are best friends and all but the staring game isn't going to fix anything" they all laugh and amber says 'come on, lets get to class" she puts her arm around Mickey and Sophia does the same as they walk down the hallway to class.
