CHAPTER 27: CAPTURED
Would you say 'yes'?

He did not let go of my hand.
Kosuke pulled me into the elevator, closing it just before my bodyguards approached the lift. Together, we descended towards the underground parking lot. As soon as we exited the hotel, I spotted his car parked next to my red Ferrari.
To my surprise, however, he did not lead me to that direction.
"H-Hey, isn't that your car?" I pointed towards the black sedan.
He answered me with a smirk, "Who said we're going there with a car?"
My eyes widened as he stopped beside a red motorcycle. I recognized it right away by first look: the glossy burgundy exterior, platinum handle bars, robust splash guards, and durable tires. My father created the design when he was still alive, but it was only released years after he passed away as a 'limited edition bike'. This was after the Williams Motors Corporation recovered from financial crisis – of course, with my help.
"Like it?" Kosuke smiled, giving the motorcycle a tap. "This is the Circa Supernova™ Limited Edition."
"Circa... Supernova..."
Before, whenever I see motorcycles, I become too excited and overjoyed...
Now, they bring back so many memories... Yes, so many memories...
I am always left overwhelmed...
And there were times when I didn't know what to feel anymore...
"Hey?" Kosuke snapped his finger in front of my eyes, taking me out of my temporary reverie. "Are you okay?"
"Y-Yes!" I immediately replied.
"So," he ran his fingers on the red motorcycle beside him, "what do you think?"
"Why are you asking me?"
"Because you're the pro when it comes to motorcycles."
"Motorcycles are for kids," I replied sternly. "Clearly, you're mistaking me for someone else."
As if not listening to my comment, Kosuke hopped on the motorcycle and started the engine. He took off his gray winter coat, "Here, put this on."
Then, Kosuke took his other helmet and handed it to me as well, "Plus this..."
"I'm not going to ride that bike," I said stubbornly, refusing to receive the coat and the helmet. "There's no way I would... w-would... ride on that thing! It's too dangerous and a hotelier like me can't risk my life for something so... silly... and childish!"
"Oh yeah?" Kosuke raised an eyebrow. "But how come a lawyer could?"
"Your point is?"
"My point is," Kosuke grinned. "In society, lawyers are more important that hoteliers."
"And your greater point is?"
"I dunno," he shrugged. "Maybe for some lawyers, hoteliers are more important than society."
"Are you always good with words?" I raised my brows to him.
"Who knows? Did I become better?" he winked at me. "Better than eight years ago?"
Then, I felt my heart surge.
I saw a smile play on his lips just before he wore his helmet. He had an irresistible charm, that even a brief glimpse was enough to bind me under his spell. I remember back in high school when he used those really cheesy 'pick-up lines' to declare his love for me, only to find out that they were ripped off from some text messages by Suzuki Akio. I could not help but chuckle once in a while whenever I remember that priceless look on his face the moment he realized that I found out all about it. But now, Kosuke has matured enormously, from the way he dressed to the manner he spoke. Even his 'pick-up lines' have changed too.
