It's my last day at work, today, so I'm finishing everything that I have to. Nagpaalam na din ako sa mga staffs at mga kaibigan ko dahil baka for good na kami sa LA.
Our flight is at 11pm at ready nanaman ako kaya magi-stay ako sa office hanggang 6. I have to finish my works before leaving. And I want to see him sana, at least for the last time.
To complete today's works, I had a last minute meeting with the department heads and Directors to make them aware that they'll have a new President again, on Monday.
"Ma'am, the conference hall is ready." I nodded my head when my Secretary called for my attention.
I feel bad for him, too because he will be accompanying me in the States. Pano ang pamilya niya dito sa Seoul?
"Secretary Lee, let's talk after this meeting. I have a proposal to make." Tumango siya at binuksan na ang double doors para sa akin.
Nagsitayuan ang mga imi meeting ko at sabay sabay na nag bow sa akin.
"Please sit." I said then smiled. "First of all, I'd like to commend each Head of each departments for your job well done these past years. Our sales increases each year and I'm very glad because of that. I am honored, to work with you all." I sighed. "By Monday, a new President will lead you all. It's the same President from four years ago, if you remember. I hope that you also treat him just like how you treat me as we are all a family."
Tumayo ako and thanked them for one last time. Nag bow na din ako sa kanila saka lumabas na. Now it's time to talk with my Secretary.
I proposed that he shall also bring his family with him in the States. Para hindi siya ma-homesick at hindi malungkot ang asawa niya pati ang anak niya na baby pa. I'll provide them home and I will pay their tickets. Para lang mapa-oo siya.
He said that he'll ask his wife's opinion about it and that we'll see what happens on Monday. Tutal ay sa Lunes pa naman ang dating niya sa LA. I dismissed him first and continued doing my work at the office.
Si Nathan ay kasama lang nila Hani sa bahay.
"Aalis ka nanaman? Kung kailan nandito ako?" Natawa ako ng mahina nang marinig ang pagra rant ni Oppa.
Natapos na nga pala ang tourney niya and as usual, he got the Gold medal.
"Magkikita naman tayo dun, ah? Sabi mo babalik ka para kuhanin ang fiancé mo diba?" Sumandal ako sa swivel chair ko and crossed my arms.
"Sa New York yun, Stephanie. Nasa LA ka, diba?" He rolled his eyes on me at natawa nalang ako.
"Don't worry. Kapag naman may mga mission kaming ginagawa, nagtatawag ako ng mga kaibigan ko sa Korea. When that happens, I could include you." Tumawa siya.
"Ewan ko sa'yo." He looked at my desk after taking a sip from his coffee at saka lumapit. "You're still not done? Dinner tayo, kahit sa bahay niyo nalang. Hindi pa din ako nagpapaalam dun sa mga pinsan mong yelo eh."
"Tsk. Sira." Umiling ako saka tumawa. "Sige antayin mo lang ako. I'm almost done."
Saktong 6 nang matapos ako sa mga ginagawa ko. Nagyaya na ako agad umiwi. Magluluto nalang daw siya or baka magpa deliver nalang kami. He offered to drive, too, dahil nakita niyang pagod ako.
Para silang aso at pusa ni Soo Yeon nang makauwi kami. Hindi na talaga nag bago 'tong dalawang 'to, oh. Tsk.
"Maga-away lang ba kayong dalawa o kakain na tayo? Or baka naman gusto niyong wag nalang kayong kumain pareho at ituloy niyo 'dun sa boxing ring yang away niyo?" I said then crossed my arms.
"Ikaw naman, Steph. Hindi ka na mabiro. Alam mo naman na love na love ko 'tong si Jess, eh. Sige na, kumain na tayo." Sabi ni Oppa at niyakap pa si Jessica kaya ang loka, galit nanaman sa kaniya!
"Excuse me, Yunho. Hindi tayo talo! May boyfriend na ako!"
"Excuse you, too. May fiancé na ako, kaya malayong magkagusto ako sa iyo!" Tinawanan nalang namin silang dalawa at nag simula nang kumain.
Oppa and I are the type of ex lovers who can still talk, who can still bond and linger around each other. We didn't have a bitter break up. All those times I was with him, I enjoyed it. Siguro kasi hindi pa kami sa tamang edad nun and we just had fun kaya hindi nag work out. But we're both matured enough now kaya't wala nalang sa amin ang nangyaring break up.
We both moved on, anyways.
Tapos naming mag dinner, pinatulog ko na muna si Nathan kahit na isang oras lang. We'll leave the house at 10 dahil wala naman kaming magiging problema sa boarding dahil VIP kami.
And now, since wala silang planong matulog, we're drinking beer that Oppa brought. Ever ready talaga.
"Are you guys staying there for good?" He asked.
"Si Tiffany and Hani, baka. As for me, I'll find out after I get married. Ganoon din siguro sa mga kapatid ko."
Yes, this decision is hard for Jessica too. She and Taec are getting married in two months-mabuti nalang at sa LA nila talagang planong magpakasal. Ang hindi lang namin sure ay kung saan sila after.
Hindi na nagtagal si Oppa. He said his last goodbyes to us at sinabing magkikita nalang kami pag nagpunta siya sa New York. Nag prepare na din kaming magpipinsan.
Ako muna ang naligo at nag bihis bago ko gisingin si Nathan. And when we're both done, bumaba na kami pareho.
The butlers escorted us to the airport. Pagdating doon ay diretso kami sa VIP line ng immigration. Tapos ay sasakay na din kami agad ng plane.
"I'm gonna miss you, Seoul." Dinig kong bulong ni Nathan habang nakatingin sa bintana ng plane. I just sighed.
"Good evening, welcome to Emirates flight EM 801 and we are bound to Los Angeles, California. Please buckle up as we are about to board. Enjoy the trip and thanks for flying with emirates!"
I took one last glance in Seoul, as I feel that it'll take us years again before returning here.
I'm sorry, Oppa. I have to protect our family because you still can't remember.
