Three Days Later

I jumped on the bus and placed my bag on the floor under my chair. I pulled my braid over to the left side of my shoulder and looked out the window. Nycole waved goodbye to me and I waved back, feeling my tears already forming. I wiped one tear away. My phone rang and I looked at the caller ID.

It was Tyler.

I let it ring and pulled the hood of my jacket over my head. I put headphones in and listened to music. I leaned my head against the window and closed my eyes. The bus jerked a few times and I tried to keep my eyes shut. The bus jerked again then came to a stop. I looked up and watched people rushed to one side. Removing the ear buds from my ears, I tapped a man's shoulder and asked him what was going on. Smoke covered the street.

"Someone's car is turned over and we can't move," he told me.

I pushed through the people and saw a man in all black with a metallic arm walking towards the overturned car. I realized what car it was and grabbed my bag. I immediately called Nycole to pick me up. I pushed through the people to get to the front and tried to get off the bus.

"Ma'am, you can't just get off the bus right now," the driver said.

"I can get off the bus whenever I wan so let me off now!" I demanded. The driver didn't budge. "I know the person in that car!" I yelled.

He then let me off.

I waited until the man in all black was gone and heard Nycole pull up. I stood on the sidewalk and watched him walk away. I told Nycole to be quiet and rushed over to the other side of the sidewalk where the car door was. Nycole looked at me like I was stupid as I quickly got down on the ground to check if he was still in there.

He wasn't.

Men in police uniforms closed in and I quickly got back up. I pulled Nycole into her car and told her to drive back to the hotel, which she did so. We parked, brought my bag in, and rushed up to her room.

"What is this about?" Nycole questioned.

"That was a SHIELD truck," I said. I pulled out my computer then put it back. "Do you know that man?" I asked. I motioned towards my left arm. "The man with the metallic arm?" I didn't know how else to describe him.

"What man?" She asked.

"Nycole, how could you miss him? He was out of the ordinary! You can't miss someone like that!" I yelled.

"I missed him, Adriella! Stop yelling at me!" Nycole yelled back. I pulled my phone out and looked for videos and pictures online. Thankfully, someone posted some things about it. I showed Nycole and she realized who I was talking about. She gasped and covered her mouth. "Winter Soldier," she whispered.

"Who?" I asked. She pulled me into her room and turned on her computer. She typed a few things then showed me his file.

"Self explanatory," she said.

"Not really!" I told her. She pointed to the computer and I looked at some things that were posted. He was a murderer. Killed many people. Quickly, I turned the computer off. "What!" She screamed. She tried to turn it back on, but it didn't. I heard a noise and hushed her. She spoke again and I rushed to her side, listening closely. I covered her mouth and waited for the sound again.

It happened again.

Nycole packed her stuff up and opened her window. I looked at her wide-eyed and she pulled out something from her bag. She stuck it on the inside of her window and stuck another one beside it. She clipped something on my pants then hers. Someone knocked on the door.
