Levi X Reader

It was a quiet and peaceful night, you had finished your training for the day and had eaten dinner ages ago. Now you sat on your uncreased bed in your dorm with your favourite book in hand. You were supposed to be asleep around two hours ago but your insomnia prevented you from sleeping peacefully, the dark eye bags underneath your e/c eyes reflected that. You groaned frustratedly as you continued to read, desperately wanting to fall asleep. You pushed your thick f/c frames up as they slid down the bridge of your nose "I just want to f*cking sleep!" You growled as you chucked the book across the room and slid onto the floor. "Then why don't you?" A cold monotone voice said behind your closed dorm door. Your eyes widened, you recognised that voice, it was Levi.

"Open the damn door cadet l/n," Levi growled, a hint of annoyance in his voice. "S-sorry Corporal Levi," you stuttered as you quickly opened the door revealing the short man. Levi brushed you off and walked past your nervous form and inspected your room with judgmental eyes. His face held no expressions as he scrutinised your room. A silence hung over the two of you as he ran his finger across your bedside table and checked for dust, he huffed and turned to the corner you threw your book in. He bent down to retrieve the book and picked it up observing it. "What is this book doing here?" He asked as he walked over to your bedside table and placed the book on it. "I was reading because I couldn't sleep, I've got insomnia it really sucks," you groaned as you plopped down onto your bed. He scoffed and sat next to you, the closeness of his body setting off an explosion of butterflies in your stomach. "Get under the blankets brat," he commanded as he pulled down the blankets. "W-what?" You stuttered blushing profusely. "Are you deaf? I said get into bed brat, tch."

You scurried frantically into bed which earned a small chuckle from Levi. Once you were fully in Levi tucked you in, a small blush appeared on his cheeks. "Aww are you blushing Corporal Levi?" You teased jokingly. "Shut up brat," he hissed as he crossed his arms defiantly. "Call me Levi," he muttered quietly. "What?"

"Call me Levi when we're alone Y/n," he repeated, "Do you sleep with your glasses on?"

"No, why?" You asked tilting your head in confusion. "Then why are they still on?" He spat rolling his eyes. "Tch, idiot." You went to take your frames off but halted as you felt Levi take them off. You blushed darkly your cheeks heating up. "T-thank you Co- I mean Levi," you stuttered as he placed your glasses on your bedside table.

He scoffed and turned away to hide his burning cheeks. "L-Levi?" You said hesitantly. He turned to face you, "Why are you helping me?" His eyes met yours, "Don't think I haven't noticed the dark bags under your eyes. You're one of our best fighters, I- we need you in top shape. If you go into battle so tired you have more of a chance dying." He replied looking at everything but you.

You smiled brightly at him, a ghost of a smile appeared on his thin lips. "Thank you Levi, I care about you too." Levi choked on his saliva, "W-what?! W-what are you talking about? I never said I cared about you!" You giggled, "I know you find it hard to admit it but you care about me, don't worry I care about you too, you don't have to admit it now but I'll wait until you're ready."

For the first time in years Levi smiled, his smile was breathtaking, he looked so much younger when he smiled. A flurry of emotions ran through your veins, with a burst of newly found confidence you hugged him tightly burying your head in the crook of his shoulder. "Y-y/n," he blushed tensing up, after a few seconds he relaxed and slowly wrapped his arms around your body, he stroked your hair lovingly.

"You were right, I do care about you," Levi said as he pulled away to look you in the eyes. The stare he was giving you was filled with an intense emotion of affection, an emotion that wasn't common to grace the features of the stone-faced man. Your smile widened and you kissed him on the cheek, you could feel the warmth of his blush on his cheek.

"Go to sleep brat," Levi chuckled as he pressed his lips against your forehead. "Goodnight Levi," you murmured as you started to feel sleepy. Levi stroked your hair until you finally fell asleep, a small smile graced his lips as he saw your beautiful sleeping form.

"Sweet dreams my little brat," he whispered as he placed a final kiss on your forehead. Levi moved towards the door but you sleepily reached out for him, "Stay." You murmured half asleep.

Levi chuckled and complied, he took off his shoes and got into bed, you were engulfed in his loving warmth. The scent of fresh mint and cleaning products filled your senses as he wrapped his arms around your body and snuggled his head into your shoulder. He placed a small kiss on your shoulder as the two of you drifted off to sleep, a peaceful silence overcoming the room.
