Kaneki X Reader Pt 3

Today you wanted to surprise Kaneki with a painting of himself you had worked on day and night. You ran excitedly to Anteiku to surprise the raven haired boy, the painting clutched tight in your hands. "I can't wait to see Kaneki's face when he sees the painting!" You smiled as you ran closer to Anteiku. This time before crossing the road you looked both ways, as you neared the front of Anteiku's you had to pass by a dark alleyway, for some odd reason goosebumps rose from your arms and an uncomfortable shiver ran down your spine making you shudder involuntarily.

"C'mon Y/n it's just an alleyway, all you have to do is walk past it," you reassured yourself as you cautiously walked past. You relaxed and let out a breath of relief as you passed by safely, "Ahaha I was so worked up for nothing," you laughed.

You tensed as you felt hands snake around your waist, "Why hello there princess, why don't you come with me?" A deep gruff voice spoke, a threatening tone in his voice. You screamed as you struggled against him, "Let me go you b*stard! I'll chop off your fingers and make you eat them!"

Your captor growled and hit you harshly across the head earning a sharp wince from you. "Shut up stupid girl, you're coming with me whether you like it or not," he spat. You stiffened as you felt a cold metal object upon your neck. "So are you going to stay quiet princess?" You nodded as tears leaked from your eyes, Kaneki help me. "Oh what's this?" The man said as he spotted your fallen painting on the ground, "N-no! Don't touch it, you can do anything to me but don't  touch it please," you pleaded as he retracted his arms and bent down to retrieve it.

You took this as a chance to attack him, you roughly kicked him and proceeded to throw sloppy punches and kicks to his vulnerable form. He yelped in pain at the multiple blows that were being delivered to his body but alas your futile attempts were not enough and you were flipped over, his knife was held against your throat, the man dug the knife into your neck creating a long cut, a trail of blood trickling from it.

"Kaneki help me!" You yelled out, as a feeble last attempt. The man laughed coldly, "Your stupid Kaneki isn't going to save you, even if he did come you'd be dead before then." Tears streamed down your cheeks as you frantically tried to get out of his tight grasp but this resulted in the knife cutting your neck even more and creating angry red bleeding cuts on it.

"Say goodbye princess," the man cackled as he lifted the knife high above his head and swiftly brought it down into your stomach. You screamed in agony, spots of black invaded your vision as a searing pain ripped through your body. All of a sudden you hear a loud scream and a thud followed by the ripping of flesh and a watery splatter of blood on the ground. "How f*cking dare you touch MY girl," you heard a familiar voice growl.

"Kaneki?" You groaned as you blindly attempted to reach out for him. "Y-y/n are you okay? I'm so sorry I didn't come sooner," Kaneki apologised frantically as he bent down to pick you up. Your eyes widened at his appearance, white hair, black mask, black clothing and one red eye. "Y-your a g-ghoul?" You whispered your eyes widening in fear. "I-I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner Y/n, I really wanted to," Kaneki said as a distraught look crossed his face. A moment of silence passed the two of you, "I-it's okay Kaneki I still l-love you no m-matter what," you choked out, you started to find it hard to breathe, your chest felt like it was on fire. Kaneki's eyes widened and his eye brightened, "You l-love me?"

You nodded as Kaneki swept you off your feet and carried you bridal style. "I love you too Y/n, I didn't believe in love at first sight but when I first saw you I knew from the moment you asked me to sit down with you I loved you." Tears spilt from your eyes as you weakly reached out to caress his cheek. "I-I love you s-so much K-Kaneki, so much it h-hurts." With your last bit of energy you reached up and unzipped his mask and captured his lips into a passionate kiss.

Your lips moved in perfect sync and moulded against each other. "I love y-you so much, no matter what happens I'll a-always l-love y-you," you whispered as your eyelids grew heavy and your whole body was filled with a dull aching pain. "Y-y/n don't leave me, please I beg of you, stay awake I love you so much," Kaneki cried as he began to run with you in his arms to Anteiku to find help. "K-Kaneki stop," Kaneki halted and looked at you with utter despair, "I-I'm not going to make it."

"D-don't say that Y/n! You will make it out alive," Kaneki cried, tears pouring from his eye. "L-live your life t-to the fullest a-and never forget that I'm always with you in your h-heart," you smiled sadly and weakly placed your hand on his chest where his heart would be. Slowly your eyes closed and your breathing came to stop. "Y/n? No, no, no, no! Wake up!" Kaneki screamed as he vigorously shook you. "No," he buried his head into the crook of your neck and sobbed. I love you.
