Draco Malfoy X Reader

Key:
Y/n - Your name
E/c - Your eye colour
L/n - Your last name

The big full moon shone softly in the very late hours of midnight. The atmosphere was silent except for the cool autumns breeze that swept through the Hogwarts grounds. Y/n gazed at the glassy, crystalline waters of the Black lake, her lips lifting in a content smile.

The night was peaceful and serene, the sky was bare with a few stray grey clouds floating about. The trees swayed in time with the music of the wind, moonlight danced across the reflections of the water and crickets sung in prefect harmony. The song of the night was delightful to your ears, you were glad that you had decided to bring your beloved guitar with you.

You closed your eyes as your fingers found their way to their place on the guitar, once they did you strummed the strings lightly. Beautiful melodies tumbled from the guitar, you hummed along and eventually started to sing. It seemed like the whole world had gone silent just to hear your angelic voice and guitar.

You smiled as you sung, you finally felt at peace here. Your voice gradually got softer and softer as you recalled your not-so-good and slightly good experience at Hogwarts so far.

Flashback ~

You were shoved roughly to the wall, you winced at the rough contact. "Stay away from my Draco!" Pansy shouted in a high pitched voice as she dug her manicured nails into your shoulders. "What are you talking about?" You asked, genuinely confused at the girl's aggressive behaviour. "You like my Draco you filthy liar!" The black haired girl hissed and slammed you into the cobblestone wall once more. "I don't like him!" You shouted as you tried to remove Pansy's painful grip on your shoulders. "I think you're just jealous!" You sneered with a sudden burst of confidence. Pansy was burning with fury and slapped you, a burning pain following, your eyes watered at the throbbing pain in your left cheek. "Why would I be jealous of a mudblood like you?" She growled. Pansy turned on her heel and strutted off angrily. You slid down the wall caressing your burning cheek. Silent tears trickled down your face as you brought your knees to your chest. "I miss dad," you whispered as your mind drifted off to the man that would comfort you and hold you in his arms when you were crying.  "Why did mum have to be a witch? Why can't I be normal and live a normal life?" You sighed burying your head into your arms. "Why are you crying L/n?" You looked up and saw Draco looking down at you, his grey eyes filled with an emotion that seemed to be something other than hatred and blankness. "Go away Draco," you whispered as your heart skipped a beat. He knelt down so that he was at eye level to you, you placed your head back into your arms to hide your flushed cheeks, he grabbed your chin with his thumb and index finger so that you were staring straight into his beautiful ash coloured eyes. "Don't be a crybaby," he said as he wiped away your tears with the pad of his thumb. "I'm not a crybaby," you mumbled, swatting away his hands. "Yeah, yeah. If you're not a crybaby then why are you crying?"
"Pansy... and I miss home," you whispered as you avoided his gaze. Draco simply gave you a slightly awkward hug and hurried off leaving you dazed.

End of Flashback ~

You clutched your guitar tighter, it was your dad's guitar, you bought it with you to remind you of him whilst you were away. Tears pricked at your eyes. "Why'd you stop singing?" You turned around and was met by the white haired boy you adored. "Just thinking," you replied as Draco sat next to you. "Are you missing home again?"

"Yeah." You stared at the moon as you said this but then turned to face Draco. "Thanks, ya know, for caring," you said smiling. Draco chuckled and nodded. A comfortable silence between the two of you as you took in the beauty of the autumn night. You started to play your guitar, the sweet sound filling the silence. Draco closed his eyes and laid his head upon your shoulder. You tensed but then relaxed and continued to strum the strings of your guitar. You then softly started to sing, your voice sweet and pure. Draco smiled at the angelic sound that fell from your lips.

"Beautiful," he whispered under his breath. He stared at you in utter awe, you were basked in the pearlescent moonbeams of the full moon, your skin glowed a glittery silver in the moonlight, it casted shadows and highlights on your features. Your eyes were brighter than the moon itself and seemed to have millions of twinkling stars trapped inside a beautiful void of colour and unspoken emotion.

Draco stood up and offered you a hand. You giggled and placed the guitar down and took his hand. Draco swiftly took out his wand and with a wave of it bewitched your guitar to play by itself.

The two of you waltzed in the moonlight, just like a scene from a cheesy romantic movie. "I didn't realise you were a romantic, Draco," you teased as he twirled you around. "Yeah, yeah. I'm only cheesy and romantic around you," he replied as his cheeks flared pink.

"Why is that?" You asked as Draco dipped you. "It's because I like you," he whispered into your ear, his lips brushing against it. Your eyes locked, and you leaned in. The two of your lips met, they moulded against each other perfectly. You smiled against his lips as you pulled back and rested your head against his forehead. "I like you too dummy."
