Modern! Armin X Reader

You pushed your frames up as the slid down the bridge of your nose, today you were at your favourite place - the library.

You were currently reading your most favourite book in the entire world, Harry Potter. You gushed over f/character and scanned the text of the book excitedly.

"Um pardon me miss but may I take this seat?" A high pitched voice asked politely. You looked up and smiled, nodding you gestured for the blonde to sit down. "T-thank you," the blonde haired man thanked as he took a seat opposite you. Using the book to hide the fact you were staring at him you checked him out. The man was blonde and feminine looking. He was quite short but was about the same height as you. He had bright ocean blue eyes that seemed to be filled with curiosity and knowledge.

You quickly casted your eyes down as the blonde man looked up. As soon as his eyes were back on his book you looked at him again, your eyes widened, he was reading Harry Potter! "Hey, we're reading the same book!" You exclaimed as the blonde man looked up to meet your gaze. "Haha it's my favourite book!" He replied as he set his book down, you mimicked his actions as he introduced himself.

"My name is Armin, pleasure to meet you," Armin introduced as he shook your hand. "My name is Y/n," you replied. "Which do you prefer, the Harry Potter movies or books?" Armin stroked his chin in thought, "I'd have to say the books, what about you?"

"I prefer the movies, it really captures the theme of magic... it's just so..." you paused not knowing the word to describe what you were saying. "Magical?" Armin chuckled finishing your sentence. "Yeah... ahaha thanks," you laughed scratching your head in embarrassment.

"Ahaha don't be embarrassed," Armin teased as he saw your cheeks heat up. "I personally think you look pretty cute right now," Armin blurted out. Both of you tensed up, both of your faces going red. "Oh my gosh I-I'm s-sorry I d-didn't mean to," Armin stuttered as he hid his flaming cheeks in his hands.

"I-it's okay, y-your pretty cute too," you managed to choke out. Armin looked like he was about to have a heart attack, his face was bright red and his eyes wide. "T-thank you," he replied bashfully.

After a while the two of you calmed down and laughed the situation off.

"Oh my gosh, why haven't we met before?" You laughed, he shrugged, "I always go here in the evening rather than the afternoon, I had to go somewhere this evening so I came here now." You nodded, "I come here in the afternoon, I love reading and indulging in books. It's a great way to escape reality and live through the protagonist's life." Armin smiled and nodded in agreement, "I agree."

Armin sighed as he looked at the clock, "I'm afraid I have to go. I have to meet up with friends."

"That's a shame, perhaps we can meet again here at the same place?" You replied as you stood up to move towards Armin. "Yes, that sounds delightful!" Armin said as he packed his bag. "So long Y/n," Armin mock saluted as he walked to the library doors. "See ya Armin," you giggled as you saluted him back.
