8 Goodnight, Daniel.

I'm leaving in the morning; and to be honest, thank God. This has been an eventful "holiday". I have a scar on my hand to remember it by.

While packing my bag the evening before the flight home. While folding and flinging clothes onto the bag I came across the short that Dan gave me to sleep in.

"I'll be back. Don't lock the door." I say to Sally before leaving to find Dan to return the shirt.

"Bye loser,"

I close the door behind me and walk up to Dan's door.
I knock on the door and play with my feet until the door opens.

I look up when the door swings open and draft of cologne escapes. There stood a Dan.

I don't know what happened but my awkward took over and I just extended my arm and kind of showed him the shirt while smiling like a loon.
He laughed and nodded and took it. I kind of laughed at myself.

"Thank you," he says. I shrug- jesus christ am I actually capable of words?

"You live in London as well, right?" he asks.

"Oh yes- yeah." I say- thankful that something left my mouth.

"well, would you like to collab sometime?"

Fuck yes. I'm down. I down as hell. Play it cool. Some attractive dude- not just some dude- asked to collab.

"Yeah, rad. Goodnight, Daniel."

Fuck yeah. Slick.
He nods and I smile. I turn on my heels and walk back to the room.

"I'm a slick slimeball."

I hate alarms. Especially the ones that occur at two AM.

Sally on the other hand is always up to waking up at dawn. That doesn't stop her from sleeping in though.

We both get up and dressed. I'm so hungry but nowhere is open so I'll have to wait until the airport.

We go through security quickly and with no stops or bumps. It was all nice and quaint. We both find ourselves some food and we seat ourselves near our gate and wait for the boarding call.

After nearly half an hour of chilling an inaudible voice calls out our gate. Sally and I stand up and the odd few do as well. We all walk in the same direction and line up while a hostess checks our passes.

"Hey," Sally says nudging me. I lift my head from staring at the ground and look up to where she was pointing.
I see Dan and Phil. Sally waves and gets their attention. They both notice us and we turn to walk towards them.

"Hey! You boarding as well?!" Phil says.

"Yeah- it makes sense that we're getting the same flight actually," Sally says.

"Where are you guys seated?" Dan asks. I show them my pass and Sally shows hers. We're sitting beside each other.

"Me and Dan are sitting behind there!" Phil says pulling out his and Dans ticket.
Sally reaches for the ticket, but her and Phil being clumsy, drop them.

I board the plane, and check my ticket. I put my bag in the overhead storage. I slide myself into the widow seat and plug my earphones into my phone and jam out. I wait for Sally to slide in beside me but she doesn't. I look up to see what's happening and Dan is standing staring at his pass. I look at him and he turns to Phil and Sally who have casually sat themselves behind  are sitting beside each other.

"There was a switch but it's chill," Sally says. Phil is grinning like a child. This was a set up.  I look at Sally.  She looks at me quickly then looks away.

"Okay, I suppose..." Dan says. We look at each other and he sits beside me.

I reach for your bag, and see that Dan has his leg over it.
After a while of contemplating how to go about eating my bag, I come to a conclusion.

I lift up his leg. He looks at me confused. Then makes his leg heavy. My body is surprised so it obviously wasn't expecting the weight

"Okay, that's enough." I joke.
He laughs and then the captain talks and the safety drill runs.

The plane maneuvers to start flying. Dan yawns. And looks at me. He chuckles and I smirk.

"I'm quite tired myself actually." I say. Why did I say that. No reason to say that.

"Yeah, goodnight then." Dan says

"Goodnight Daniel."
