Chapter 1
Smelling the scent of the earth woke me up from my sudden sleep. Remembering all that happened, I bolt up and scramble over to my little plant. Salty tears fill the brim of my eyes as I see that after weeks of practice I had finally made the little rose seed sprout. Reaching out to trace the edge of my beautiful creation I heard a twig snap. Bolting up on to my feet instincts told me to run. In seconds I was pounding the chocolate hued dirt, leaving my rose behind. Not understanding what told me to leave I start to slow down. That’s when I heard a faint “Wait!” fear strikes me, making me go so fast that I only see my surroundings as a blur. The thundering of the ground behind me tells me to go fast but I can't. Already at my top speed and tiring I slowly start to slow down, but run a marathon pace. Then for a moment I felt the earth only quiver from my feet, for one glorious moment I thought I had lost my pursuer, but I was terribly wrong. Glancing behind me I see a flash of silver, and then I felt myself being shoved to the ground by a powerful force.
