Chapter 3
The wolf’s once gray eyes shifted in to a midnight black with a hint of red and gold. A look of determination filled the multi colored eyes as it struggled against the tightening branches. Then my mouth dropped open as I watched the fur of this beautiful animal sink in to the skin of a human. Slowly the fur resided to reveal a handsome tan boy about my age, “please, give me a chance” he choked out. Shocked by this rare experience, I draw the energy from the trees so suddenly that they spring back into place giving the boy a sudden fifteen foot drop. BAM! being connected to nature, specifically the earth, I felt the ground vibrate from this sudden hit. Taking a step back, I get into a fighting stand. “What are you, a werewolf?” I demand? “No….. A shape shifter” he says in between gasps.
