"Y-Yeah, I can run," Undyne glanced around nervously, scouting a path.
"Can you carry him and run?" I gestured to Sans, who was holding his side, eye sockets narrowed in pain.
"U-Uh, I-I-I should be able to." Undyne picked Sans up, who protested a little bit from the pain, but calmed down as he realized he had to. That he would be safe if he calmed down.
"I'll distract them, and you get a head start, deal?" I offered but mostly commanded.
She nodded and booked it, away from the fight, towards Snowdin. Nightmare noticed and turned to do something, but Alphys jumped in front of him and distracted him, knowing what we were doing. I started to maneuver my way around the fight but instead found myself running into the forest as to try and dodge the aggressive attacks from both Error and Nightmare.
"Why don't we play a game?" Nightmare called from behind me, "It's called hide and seek."
I screamed a little bit as the forest around me shifted, something different about it. My eyes tingled and so did my brain, the world around me appearing. . . darker. I stopped running and turned around on my feet, scanning the forest.
"Ten, nine, eight," Nightmare started counting down, and I looked to the nearest trees, finding one that looked suitable for climbing.
I took a running start at the tree and grabbed the lowest branch, pulling myself up to the next few sets of branches.
"Seven, six, five, four," He continued as I continued up the tree, perching on the highest branch I could push myself as far as I could into the green branches of the evergreen that held me.
"Three, two, one."
I held my breath as footsteps approached, sounding way closer than I had expected.
"Hickory Dickory dock," He started to sing, "The mouse ran up the clock. The clock struck one, the mouse ran down, hickory dickory dock."
"Hickory Dickory dock, the mouse ran up the clock. The clock struck two, and off he flew, hickory dickory dock."
The branches around me scuffled with a cold wind, and I whimpered for a moment, scared out of my skin.
"Hickory Dickory dock, the mouse ran up the clock," His voice sounded like he was right under the tree, but I didn't dare look down, "The clock struck three, and he did flee, hickory dickory dock."
I screamed for a short moment as the branch I had been sitting on snapped beneath me, or cut clean off. I crashed on the snowy ground below and Nightmare stood just inches away from me. I scurried away from him and stood up, shaking violently.
"She hit the floor, and there was no chance for her, not anymore. Hickory Dickory Dock."
"Y-You'd better stay a-away from me!" I tried to threaten, backing up quickly as he slowly moved towards me.
"Do you hear me?! I-I said to stay away!" I backed up into a tree behind me and I tried to shuffle to the side, only to be blocked by attacks.
There was no way out of here now.
"Tick, tock," He smiled wider than the Grand Canyon, "You're time is up."
I looked away as he summoned an attack, only hoping that it would be a quick and painless death for me. Instead, I heard a battle scream and heard someone smack into Nightmare, my eyes shooting open.
"Not today, brother!" Another brightly colored Sans exclaimed, and Nightmare teleported away from under his grasp.
"Heh, well, maybe tomorrow, then." He laughed for a moment before teleporting away.
"Sorry about him," The other skeleton held out his hand for me to shake.
"The name's Dream."
