Frisk's POV:

I yawned again, now fully not understanding how Sans did this, staying up until late into the night and getting up early in the morning thing. But hey, I guess he was nocturnal now.

The door opened and he looked at me with a surprised expression.

"What?" I asked.

"I'm surprised you stayed up. I would have just written it down, you know." He had a sour undertone.

"Well, it sounded important, and I don't really ever get to see you, so I stayed up. What did you have to tell me?" I asked, now sour too.

Sans stopped after he put down his work bag, not moving or saying anything for a few seconds. I was about to speak before he said in a low tone, "Error told me something today."

"Error? He told you something? You talked to Error?" I asked, surprised that that intervention was at all civilized.

"He told me. . . He told me some things that Ink wouldn't, and neither would Dream. Frisk, he was friends with those guys once. They turned on him. We can't trust them, they've done some horrible things. They've forgiven and let some horrible people roam around the timelines freely."

"Error and Nightmare being two of them," I stood up from the couch, "Sans, you're not serious right now, right? He's tried to kill me and Blue. He's probably hurt a lot of other people. You can't tell me that you trust him."

Sans gave me a strange look, "I do, Frisk. I trust him. He told me some shady things about Ink and his crew."

"I can't believe this," I laughed sourly, "You trust him. You trust the monster that tried to kill me, that is working with someone else who probably wants to kill me, has threatened our family multiple times and caused a lot of chaos. You trust him, more than the person who brought me back and promised to protect our family. Wow, Sans. I never thought I'd question my own husband's sanity."

"Just because Ink does good things does not mean he isn't a bad person! He has hurt people too. He is no saint."

"No one is a saint, Sans! You're not, I'm not, Error isn', and neither is Ink. But Ink has good intentions, while Error has bad intentions. Why are you arguing with me over someone like him?" Both of us were raising our voices at this point.

"Why don't you trust me?" He shouted back.

"Why don't you believe me?" I yelled back.

"Frisk, you know that we are not stable! This was a young relationship and. . . And we are. . . We are falling apart! You know that! And I don't want this to be the driving force into breaking this relationship apart."

I scowled, "What the hell are you talking about, Sans? How did we move from the safety of this family to our relationship?"

He was silent for a few seconds, "You know what I'm talking about, Frisk. We can't be there for each other anymore. With my work, it doesn't work out. And with you keeping secrets, like your nightmares, it makes it even more of an unstable environment. Edith has noticed, Frisk. She isn't a fool, and neither am I."

I turned away from him, "You know what, Sans? With everything, you're saying, and everything that's happened and happening, maybe you're right."

I paused for a long moment before asking, "Do you still love me?"

"I loved you since the moment, I laid eyes on you Frisk, and I love the family we have built together."

"That doesn't answer my question, Sans. Answer the damn question." I said firmly, having no patience with him.

"I. . . I don't think so, anymore, Frisk."

I sighed, "Well, that makes two."

Sans looked a bit shocked in the pale moonlight that was filtering through the window, but I didn't care. He didn't love me anymore, and neither did I. The only thing to do now was try and protect Edith and get our "love life" sorted out later.

"Frisk, I--"

"Don't even try, Sans. You said it yourself. This marriage is now dead. Now leave me alone." I headed upstairs, seeing Edith's door close a little bit on my way up.

Had she heard that entire conversation?
