The Deal

"Mum" Finn said, sounding relieved.

She gave him a scowling look as she said "We told you two not to go after them by yourselves, you're still in training!"

He looked down ashamed, completely ignoring Kira "Sorry"

His mother gave him a smile but there was a dark edge to it that Scott didn't like the look of.

"That's okay, we are here now"

Then before the pack could react, it happened.

They struck with quickness and deadly accuracy. These were the processionals. Before Scott knew it he was down on the ground, crying out in pain.

Anyone they had freed was down, cringing in pain.

Mountain Ash, wolves bane and mistletoe filled the air. The only one left standing was Stiles.

The hunters looked at him confused.

"What are you?" The women demanded.

"Believe it or not but I'm human, like you" Stiles said grimly.

"I don't know Stiles, they don't seem that human to me" Scott growled, baring his teeth slightly.

His instincts were screaming at him that his pack were in danger. He needed to protect them! But... how could he? Why couldn't he do the one thing he was good at? He was a true alpha! Didn't that mean something? They were his responsibility and he was useless.

Anger sprouted inside his chest at how he couldn't do anything to help his pack. What was the point of being a true alpha if he couldn't get past the wolvesbane?!

What was the point if he couldn't protect them?

"Scott!" Derek hissed.

He glared at him but then realised Derek was giving him a pointed look, looking at his hands.

His claws were out, eager to be used despite the burning, eager to tear into fl-

What was he thinking?!

Scott shook his head, trying to clear it. He hoped it was the wolves bane getting to him and not...anything else.

There had to be another way.

"We were told you only hunted supernaturals that got out of control. By your own code you aren't aloud to hunt us" Scott said, trying to keep the pure hatred and venom out of his voice.

"Ah, that's where you're wrong. In fact we know at least three of you have lost control in the past" The women said darkly then she added, giving Stiles a confused look "Though I don't know why a human would be on the list"

"List?! What List!" Scott demanded.

They didn't answer.

Finn turned to his parents after he made sure his sister was okay "Mum! He said he's a true alpha! Didn't you say-".

"True Alpha?" The father asked, suddenly he was looking at Scott with a much more interested gleam.

"You said only a corrupted true alpha's bite works but I'm sure we can corrupt him if we need too" Finn said, sounding excited.

The mother let out a laugh of delight, clapping her hands together "Oh excellent! This is better than we hoped!"

Scott had no idea what they were talking about.

He had a feeling he didn't want to know.

The mother hunter towered over him as she sneered.

"Okay Alpha, change of plans! Here's our deal, I'll let your pack go... if you stay here!"
