His heartbeat quickened when he finally caught their scent. They were here! It also caught some other scents that were strangely familiar, could it be?

He shouted out to them as he rounded the corner, they were standing in front of some lockers talking with...

The god hunters!

Derek never thought he'd be this happy to see them.

Lydia looked pale and sickly while Kira was the one who spotted him first, her eyes searched the empty space next to him, looking desperate.

Suddenly Lydia's pale exterior made sense.

She'd be able to sense it...

"Kira, Lydia" He called out, slowing down as he came to a halt besides them.

"It's true" A hunter said slowly.

Kira shook her head "No! No!"

She demanded fiercely, staring Derek down "Where's Malia?!"

Derek couldn't answer. He couldn't bring himself to answer.

There where dice six hunters with them, most seemed uncaring but a couple did have solemn faces at the news, another life lost.

Kira stepped backwards, shaking her head, her eyes were shining with tears but she stopped herself from breaking down, not yet.

When this is over she thought determinedly, Malia would get a proper goodbye.

Suddenly before anyone could say anything else a strange melody began to play in the background, it seemed to come from everywhere.

A tune that slowly picked up pace, ringing with intensity and a eerie feeling, some parts of the melody sounded like someone screaming.

Everyone glanced at each other warily.

Then Lydia with no warning....
screamed.

A banshee's wail.

Windows were smashed and the melody stopped suddenly, the lockers beside them rattled.

Lydia then stopped screaming but she muttered not seeing anything "We're standing in a graveyard, everyone one is"

Everyone paled slightly knowing it wasn't good to ignore the words from a banshee.

"Now that was something"

Everyone twisted around sharply to see Scott and Stiles both standing at the end of the corridor.

The shadows had spread and they could barely make them out in the new darkness.

"What about us Lydia? Are we standing in a graveyard?" Stiles asked curiously.

"No" Lydia said still sounding like she was in some kind of trance "You're are standing in a river of red and golden blood"

Stiles and Scott both didn't look disturbed about that at all. In fact they both seemed to almost triumphant about something like what Lydia had said confirmed something for them.

Her eyes slowly focused again and she stumbled backwards, breathing hard. Kira steadied her.

Lydia's eyes slowly landed themselves on Stiles.

How could he do this?

How could this be happening?

"You said you loved me once" She said, wanting to understand, trying to understand.

"I did" Stiles agreed, shrugging casually.

Stiles smile slowly grow bigger, until it almost felt like it would crack his face.

He truly looked like a maniac then...

"Don't you get it Lydia? I'm free"
