"Let's get out of here" Derek muttered. Malia agreed quickly. Pulling the door open that the Sheriff had been behind. They walked through though gasping in shock as the buildings structure seemed to change as they got inside. Instead of a hall they were now in a school corridor. Beacon Hills School Corridor.Everything started to make sense.
Derek said eyes widening slightly "We were in a illusion"
"Stiles can do that now?" Malia said shocked.
"Seems so" Derek replied grimly.
He kept his worried thoughts to himself but he was sure Malia was thinking the same thing. Just how powerful was Stiles now and the idea that they would get out of this unscathed was getting slimmer and slimmer.
"Now, now! Don't stand around! This is meant to be fun!"
Stiles...
Suddenly the lights in the corridors exploded one by one, coating the corridor into the darkness.
Laughter echoed around them.
Derek grabbed Malia's arm tightly, making her face him.
"Run!" He growled.
She didn't need to be told twice, heading towards where she believed the nearest exit from the school was...
This was a death trap.
"Okay"
Stiles voice again but she couldn't tell where he was coming from, Derek started to run after her.
"How about this new game? Avoid the shadows"
Suddenly the lights lit up even though that should have been impossible.
The shadows around them thickened and spread out.
Malia came rushing back and pushed Derek out of the way of a shadow and they jumped into the light, looking down at the ground.
"This isn't your power" Derek said.
"It's a new friend of mine. Once she's finished with Lydia, Kira and those hunters I'm sure she'd love to meet you"
Malia's eyes widened in realisation "You're working with the Pagen god!"
Stiles didn't respond but Derek could practically feel Stiles smirking behind his back.
Suddenly the shadows swarmed the corridor.
Derek and Malia looked at each other as the shadows reached towards them. They didn't need to say anything, they just ran.
Malia pulled Derek in the direction she had run. They both thought the same thing.
No matter what, don't get split up.
Unfortunately Stiles was thinking on similar lines.
As they ran through another corridor, there was a strange hum in the air and the corridor was slowly split in two.
Malia stopped in her tracks.
Derek kept on running, believing Malia was still with him. He knew this must be another illusion.
"Derek!" She shouted.
He skidded to a half as the floor in front of him and behind him suddenly seemed to fall away into nothing, into darkness, cutting him of from Malia.
"Watch where you step Derek"
Stiles again but Malia stiffened in shock as she realised his voice was coming right from behind her!
She turned but Malia was to late. A hand wrapped around her throat, holding her up in the air, he was tall enough so that her feet dangled in the air.
Malia stared at Stiles wicked silver eyes.
"I think" He said "That Derek is more fun to play with than you are. You're no use to me"
There was a sharp pain in Malia's neck but then.... she knew nothing.
