Chapter 15: Perfect

I woke up to an unusual feeling underneath my chin. I looked down and realised that it was El. She was back, for good. I let out a happy sigh and closed my eyes again, resting my chin on her head. She slightly whimpered in her sleep, I started stroking the back of her head and saying 'shhhhhh'.

She drifted back off to a sleep and I could feel her soft breaths ticking my neck.

After a while, she began to stir and she yawned. She looked up at me with sleepy eyes and gave me a big smile and her eyes immediately started to light up.

'Morning!' I cheerfully said.

'Morning.' she smiled back.

I looked at the time. 9:47. I was too late for school, there was no point going in now.

It wasn't like me to miss two full days of school, but no one would notice, not like anyone cares anyway.

I slowly sat up and rubbed my eyes, climbing out of bed and went to use the bathroom.

I came out and went back into my bedroom, El was laying back down, her chest slowly rising up and down. How did she fall asleep this fast?

I chuckled to myself and lightly started shaking her so that she would wake up. Her eyes fluttered open and she sleepily giggled and wrapped her arms round my neck, causing me to collapse on top of her.

She laughed even more and I wrapped my arms around her waist, her arms still wrapped around my neck. I stood up, not letting go of her and we just stood in my bedroom, smiling and hugging. We didn't say anything, we didn't have to.

Everything about this moment was perfect, completely perfect.

We pulled apart, still smiling. I interlocked our fingers and led her down to the kitchen. we ate some eggos and then we just sat on the sofa and cuddled watching TV. We didn't want to do anything else, being with eachother was all that mattered, and I couldn't be happier.
