She sat in the hospital room wishing she could just end all of the pain. The nurses tried everything to help her. Not knowing what to do for her pain. It was not physical anymore. She lost everything. Her family, friends... Everything.

They took her into the gathering room. In hopes it would cheer her up. Seeing other patients that were just as crazy as she was did not make her happy. It made her feel like she was just another name on a pill chart. Another feeding to someone else.

"I don't belong here!" She heard a guy scream. He was beating on the door, demanding to be let out of the psych ward of the hospital. "I'm not crazy!!" He cried.

Phillipa watched the strange man from a distance. He was going to get himself locked away at this rate. She pushed herself in her wheelchair towards the panicked man.

"Please! I need out of here!" The man said quietly while hitting the door. Obviously loosing his strength to it.

"If you keep beating the door, they'll lock you away." Phillipa muttered.

"What do you know?" The man spat without turning around.

"I've been here for months. I've picked up a thing or two." She retorted. The man jumped at the remark and looked down at the woman sitting next to him. "They don't care if you stand in the center of the room and scream. But damage their property and they'll make sure you're in the padded room." She said while turning herself around to leave.

"Why are you telling me this?" He asked her. Truth be told, she didn't know why she was telling this man these things. She decided not to answer. She had already surpassed her word count of the day.

She sat out in the hall watching the patients wander through. She still couldn't understand why she was the only one to live through the accident... She just wanted it all to end.

"Hey!" The man from the other day had spotted her and began walking towards her. She didn't bother to run. She had no where to be. "Care to have company?" He asked her. She remained silent. "Well, alright.." he said while sitting on the floor next to her. "My name is Lin by the way. Yours?" He frowned.

"Phillipa." She spoke quietly.

"Cool. Mind if I call ya Pippa?" He smiled.

"I do mind." She sighed. She didn't want anyone calling her that anymore. She didn't want anyone to remind her of the past. She just wanted to move on and see them all again.

"Why? It's just a nickname. Pippa is easier to say too." He smiled. Lin watched her as the tears started to fall. He frowned and felt as if he had hit a nerve... A big one from the looks of it...

"Phillipa! What's the matter?" One of the nurses asked while getting in front of her. Of course, it was one who had never been through one of her episodes of remembering the past. "Phillipa, calm down." The nurse touched her arms and was immediately pushed to the ground.

"Don't touch me!" She cried. The, now terror stuck, nurse called for help, and got nurses with the drugs involved. "No! No!" Phillipa cried. "I can't! No!" Lin sat in horror as he watched them hold her arms back and inject the needle into her arm. Her screaming subsided after a minute and her entire body went limp in the chair. Lin was mortified...

'She wasn't kidding...' He thought.

Days had gone by, no sign of Phillipa. Lin thought she was locked away like she had warned. He stayed quiet during everything. He didn't talk to anyone. Completely shut everyone out. On the fifth day, he sat in the chair near the barred up window. He heard the giant doors open and heard another wheel chair being pushed in. He ignored it. It wasn't going to be Phillipa.

He was beginning to miss her. Even if she didn't talk much to him. He enjoyed her company. She was the only normal looking girl in here.

He was beginning to have a crush on her.

"Alright. One more outburst like that Phillipa and we're going to have to up your meds. Why don't you enjoy the view." One of the nurses had spoken quietly. Lin took a peek at the girl next to him and saw her. His Phillipa. The nurse left the two at the window to 'enjoy' the view.

Lin studied Phillipa's face. It was covered in scratch marks, and she looked completely tired. She had a thick blanket wrapped around her, which looked to be tied up around where her arms would be...

"You were put away?" Lin whispered.

"Yup..." Phillipa sighed.

"I'm so sorry... it's my fault." He frowned. Phillipa shook her head and looked down at the blanket. "Why are you here if you don't mind me asking."

"Car accident. Everyone but me died. I watched my best friend die next to me and I snapped. I couldn't handle the pain anymore. So I was out here. I have episodes of psychotic rage and severe depression. I also have no feeling in my legs and shards of glass still lodged in my brain. Hence why I'm still crazy." She explained. Lin was shocked. She had gone through so much and they just threw her in the mental hospital. "Why are you here? You seem normal." She frowned.

"I... I kinda snapped too... Nothing like yours... but yeah..." He shrugged.

"Awesome." She said sarcastically. "You really don't belong." She laughed.

"You don't belong here either." Lin frowned. Phillipa scoffed at his remark and looked out the window. "You could be treated... Get the glass out of your head..."

"They can't. They can't without killing me. I told them to do it. But they refused. Said I wasn't thinking right." She shrugged.

"Oh... Well alright then..." Lin sighed. "Why do you want to die?"

"I have nothing to live for." She whispered.
