Lin's POV

It was a huge party. My sister's children were celebrating one huge birthday bash and I couldn't believe how many things they had arranged for this birthday. They had a bounce house, entertainers, and even caters for the event. All in a huge park too. Pippa was talking with my sister about various things, while our children played well together.

"Dad! Dad! Dad!" Pip's and my son, Samuel, yelled while riding his bike. He was only five and loved riding bikes. Took after his mother that way.

"Yes my son?" I smiled at him.

"Can you ride the bike up the slide? Use it like a ramp! It'll be so cool!" He said while getting off of his bike. I frowned and saw how little the slide was... I don't think it'll work...

"Your bike is just a bit small... And the slide isn't that much bigger..." I frowned. Samuel just looked up at me and had the biggest frown on his face...

"But... Dad you'll be so cool...." He pouted. I hated seeing him pout... I looked around and didn't see anyone that would say no to this... So I guess I could do it for him.

"Alright Sammy. I'll do it." I said while taking one last drink of soda. I set my cup down on the table behind me and walked with Sammy to the little slide. Boy I figured I was going to regret this. The things we do for children...

Pippa's POV

"Yeah, I think we could try for another one. Sam is just a bit of a rough child though... He's already been to the hospital for so many accidents on his bike..." I sighed.

"Well maybe he needs an outlet? Better than riding bikes? Maybe a... Safer... More..." Lin's sister mumbled. "What is my brother doing...?" She asked while looking behind me. I turned to see Lin on Sam's bike, riding full speed down the hill.

"Oh no..." I sighed. I watched him fly all the way to a little slide and completely flip off of it, landing on his back with the bike launching itself away from everyone. I groaned at his childish like behavior, but then saw Samuel laughing with his cousins next to him. "I think our kids put him up to it." I sighed.

"Sounds about right." She laughed. Both of us walked over to Lin and saw that he was still breathing.

"So can I ask what was going on in your head that made you do this?" I asked while sitting next to him.

"Well... It seemed like a good idea at the time. But look at how happy he is!" Lin pointed weakly. I looked over at our child and saw him still grinning from ear to ear. Our child was always happy, but never this happy. Maybe because it was that he saw his bike launch over fifty feet somewhere else, or watching his father fly off his bike. I didn't know. But at least he was happy...

"You do know you're not a child right?" I laughed.

"I'm fine." He said while sitting up. I watched him wince and place a hand on his lower back.

"Yeah, fine." I smirked. "Come on. You're not allowed to hang out with the kids anymore. Time to be an adult." I said while helping him up. Lin limped his way with me towards the tables, many family members laughing at his little stunt still while he did so. You couldn't help but laugh because he was so unpredictable. I helped him sit down and I kissed his head.

"I don't think I'll be able to get out of bed in the morning." He mumbled.

"Well that sounds like a thing you should've thought about before you decided to do a bike stunt." I said while rubbing his shoulder. Samuel came running towards us laughing and yelling. God knows about what... Hopefully it wasn't about another stunt he wanted his father to do...

"Dad! Dad! You were so cool!" He grinned while lunging himself at him. Lin caught him, but winced at all the pain that was flooding through him.

"Thanks..." Lin hissed.

"Can you do it again?" He asked.

"No!" I jumped in and looked at Sam. "You could've really hurt your father." I scolded. Sam frowned at my words and started pouting. "I don't care if you pout. If you want to go do another stunt, so be it. But don't hurt your father." I sighed. "And please don't get your cousins to do it either." I frowned. Sam lit up at the idea of him doing his own stunts, and ran off. I immediately regretted what I said and looked down at Lin.

"Now you're in trouble." He laughed.

"Oh hush and just prepare to go to the hospital. We should just have a tab running on that place." I sighed. Lin reached out to take my hand in his and he gave me a small smile.

"Maybe he'll get really good at these things to where it doesn't happen as often." He smiled. I sighed and hoped he would grow out of this stage... But seeing as my own husband didn't even grow out of him being a kid, I didn't see it happening soon.

"OW!" We heard Sam yell. I turned to see him laying on the floor with his bike right next to him, in the same spot Lin was.

"Come on. Let's go. Time to figure out which bone he broke this time." I said while leading Lin over to our daredevil son. Life with two boys. How would I ever go back to living a calm and comfortable life?
