The two spent more time together. They sat at the same window looking out at the trees swaying in the wind.

"What I would give to feel that breeze again." Phillipa frowned. "I don't even remember what the sun feels like on my skin anymore." She sighed and looked at Lin. He frowned and placed his hand on hers.

"Why don't you come out during our hour of being outside." Lin asked her.

"No ramp. Or elevator." She shrugged. Lin felt terrible that she couldn't get down to the courtyard. "Don't feel bad. You enjoy your time outside." She smiled.

"Alright, Lin, time for your evaluation." A nurse smiled.

"Well... Have fun... You'll pass yours.." Phillipa frowned. Lin didn't want to leave, but his mental state was improving. He couldn't help it. The medication was working for him...

After a few hours, Lin walked out in a bittersweet mood. He was allowed to leave with frequent doctor visits, but he was going to be leaving his love... He was beginning to love her... For the first time Phillipa was finding something to live for. Lin was dreading telling her, but he needed to. A nurse stopped him by talking with him about everything he needed to do before he left. He would've been leaving day after tomorrow... It would give him time to tell her.

Phillipa didn't leave her room after Lin had left. The nurses felt as if her depression was taking over once more and knew that she wasn't wanting to live anymore. Lin tried his best to talk to her before he left, but she didn't want to hear it.

A week had passed and Lin wanted to visit, but he was afraid to go back to that place...

Phillipa's headaches had turned into migraines. She wanted desperately to see Lin once more, but she couldn't.. He was fixed. She wasn't. She cried herself to sleep every night thinking that she'll never get out of the building. Even if it was just to feel the breeze or feel the warmth from the sun.

After two weeks, Lin finally mustered the courage to visit Phillipa. He walked into her room holding a little bouquet of flowers.

"Phillipa?" He whispered. He saw her wheelchair sitting in the corner of the room, and she shifted slightly in her bed. "Hey...." He touched her shoulder and she lifted her head up to look at him.

"You came back..." She frowned.

"I was so afraid to come back here... But here I am." He smiled. "I brought you flowers." He said while setting the flowers next to her. She smiled at him and watched him sit on her bed as he started talking about the various things he was able to do now. She was beginning to get a headache, but she wasn't going to ruin this visit. "Why do you have fresh scratches?" He frowned.

"I had another episode last night. I regret them..." She frowned.

"Oh Phillipa..." He frowned while hugging her.

"The doctors say that the glass shards are causing spasms... If I have another episode, they'll cut through and cause internal bleeding." She frowned. "I'm just... I..." She began crying in front of him.Lin couldn't help but feel terrible for her... He knew that she wanted to be normal for once.

"I'll be right back." He said while standing up. He felt something grab his hand and tighten around his wrist.

"Please don't go.." She whispered.

"I'll be right back. I promise." He smiled. Lin kissed her hand and walked to the nurses' station. "Hey, um, who is Phillipa's doctor?" He asked. The nurse frowned and looked at him.

"We can't disclose that kind of information..." The nurse sighed.

"Then who do I talk to about getting her a day pass? All she wants is to go out and feel normal again. If she's just going to die why can't she be happy?" He frowned.
