It had begun with little pranks here and there. Lin beginning to leave little things everywhere. Mainly notes that made Pippa laugh at first. Then it turned into scaring her various times throughout the day. Pippa of course got back at him by scaring him at his most vulnerable time. The bathroom breaks. At first he was genuinely terrified. Both of them to the point of locking the bathroom doors (something they never did) while they were in there.

Then things... Escalated....

"Pippa! Where is my keyboard?" Lin asked while walking by his study. It was a pretty big keyboard and knew that it was heavy. So if you walked by the little room, you would notice a keyboard missing.

"What keyboard?" She frowned at him. "You never let me in there." She sighed.

"They keyboard in my office. You know, the big one." He said while gesturing the size with his hands.

"Nope. Have you gone in there and looked? Maybe you moved things while you were sleeping?" She shrugged, her attention focusing back on her tablet. She knew exactly where it was. She wasn't giving it up just yet though.

Lin walked back into his study, looking around for it. Of course, when he turned around, he found it stuck to the ceiling. He began laughing hysterically and walked back out.

"Very funny, who came by to help with that one?" He laughed.

"Daveed and Oak." She smirked. "It was so easy." She laughed.

"Can you get it down?" He sighed. "I kinda need to work today." Pippa nodded before standing up from the couch. She dragged a kitchen chair with her into the room, hoping she wouldn't break anything. Now, her prank didn't stop there either. "Thank you." He smiled at her. She winked at him and left the room, waiting for him to start playing on it.

"Just a few minutes." She settled back on the couch with her tablet, focusing on the book she had been reading. Once Lin was settled, he began playing.

"What the...?" He mumbled as he tapped the keys. Each key was a duck sound... A different one for each key.... "PIPPA!" He groaned. All he could hear from his room was hysterical laughter coming from the living room. "Oh, I'll get you back good. If you want to be quackers about this, I'll make you quackers." He said quietly. "I'll make wonderful music with my ducks!" He laughed while playing songs on it. He liked the ducks actually. It was a nice to have a bit of change in life.

As the days went on, Lin was stewing the perfect plan in his mind. More like waiting for the six packages to arrive as well. He ordered a lot of things for this to work. He knew he was going to need to work fast too. Pippa only left the apartment to run errands now since she was resting.

"Are you sure you want me to go?" She frowned while looking at her phone.

"I'm sure. You deserve to relax and enjoy yourself." He smiled at her. He had booked an appointment at a spa for a few hours. Just enough time for everything to work. She shrugged and got her things together. She wasn't at all surprised with the gesture, but she worried for him. It wasn't her birthday, nor was it their anniversary... So she had every right to worry. He had to be up to something, but she trusted him... A bit....

"I'll be back soon then..." She said slowly.

"Alrighty! I love you!" He gave her a quick kiss before she left and she gave him a weird look.

"Love you too...." She said before leaving. Now, she knew he was acting stranger than normal. It was something she had loved about him, but wished he would tone it down. As she left, she passed by a UPS man, and she waved at him.

Little did she know, it held her fate.

Lin got right to work when the packages arrived. Each package was full of rubber ducks. The first four were filled with little rubber ducks. Over two hundred and twenty ducks in each box. The last two were bigger ducks, each varying in shapes, sizes, color, and design. He giggled to himself as he began sticking them all over the place. Having them leading out of the shower drain, climbing over the little wall, marching their way out into the hall.

He couldn't keep his excitement in any longer when he finally placed the last duck. He walked carefully over his duck mess and dove into the bedroom. He was going to take a nap now. And act like the whole thing was happening while he was sleeping.

When Pippa got back from the spa, she did feel refreshed and loved the idea. As she walked down the hall to their apartment, she wished that Lin would do the same. He needed some relaxing time. Her keys were easily found, and she shoved them in the lock, opening the door as she turned the keys. Once she opened the doors... She was in for a huge surprise...

"Oh my god..." She mumbled. There were ducks everywhere... Some sitting on the table, some on the kitchen counter... She followed the line of ducks, taking a video as she walked through. "Of course." She laughed while walking into the bathroom. "He thinks he's being cute." She smirked. She heard his light snores and knew it would be perfect to prank him with the ducks.... So she did. She gathered all of them and began placing them in their bed. Surrounding him with ducks. Once she finished, she waited for him to wake up now.

Hours had passed and Lin did eventually wake up. His eyes slowly opened and shut as he woke up. His eyes did focus on the three ducks that were staring at him. He jumped slightly, realizing he was surrounded at this point. He was caught off guard and fell on the floor, on top of more ducks. He walked out of the bedroom into the living room and looked at Pippa.

"Did you like the ducks?" She smiled at him.

"I did." He laughed. "Were you scared when you saw them first?" He smirked.

"I laughed." She laughed at him. "It was a good try though." She winked. Lin nodded, knowing he wasn't ever going to out prank her. She was always going to be one step ahead of him.
