I hated you from the start,
Till the end of the days,
But now, it's all different
In each and every way.
I never thought you would be my heart,
I never thought my mind would betray
But now, it just happened
And it would last till the last day.
It's the change.
The change no one would think of,
But well, I'm glad it happened
Because it was meant to be.
The change that changed everything in my life
Everything, something, though nothing; and me.
People say that I should not be with you,
But they don't know that they are wrong
Because they won't ever understand how it feels to be
The one that came along.
I don't know if you love me or not;
But I need you more than anyone,
Or anything, even more than the air I breathe
That's how bad my heart you've won.
Your eyes, your presence;
Knowing that you're there,
Some it keeps making me weak,
And sometimes it makes me strong.
It's the change.
The change that comes after every heavy rainfall,
Disguised as a rainbow.
The change that is very difficult to explain,
To know the answer, ask a free bird that feels caged.
Where my life would take me, I know not,
But it's this change that would decide
How well lived the journey would be
So I thank you for the change you've brought,
You've brought it well, in me.
