The moon hides behind the clouds,
He caught me staring at him,
The stars whisper a thousand things,
Gossiping 'bout his illuminating face. They wondered why he brightened,
And giggled at the thought,
They twinkle as they look at me;
The reason behind his shy reaction.I, am mere a human,
Infinite miles away from him,
Yet that doesn't stop him
from his partial peeking. But his amusement is crystal clear,
For the unfathomable light
He fails to hide,
Along with the reason
Why he still is here. The moon is so young,
And has emerged only a while ago,
Despite the pitch black skies,
And the occasoinal stars that now hate me.He peeks again, a very bright peek,
Oh, it made me blush, and smile cheekily,
Noticing the warmth that he'd evoked,
He hides back again, beneath the darkest cloud.I take a while to write this,
And return my eyes back at the sky,
Unfortunately, without a word or a sign,
He'd disappeared, not even a single ray emerged. The jealous stars now come at peace
With dim twinkles they mock at me,
They must have been behind this,
They must have made him go away. And just as I write this,
Out of the blue, I see him appear,
He was always there, gazing at me,
Just hidden away from my sight. He does it again, he hides,
Why is he being so shy?
Why can't the Moon just man up and come to me,
Sweep me off my feet and kiss passionately?Ah, I remember, he is the Moon, but not a man
He has a soul, but is not a being,
He is always there with me, but never besides me,
He is just simply out of my league..._______________________________________
(A/N: Hello there! :D
Thanks for reading, vote and comment!I literally wrote this during a long journey back home and staring at the moon... like it was all happening, the hiding of the moon, the twinkling star, the brightening at instances and the sudden disappearance and reappearance... everything quite normal for anyone, but it was beyond beautiful, and a great inspiration for a peom! :) Lots of Love. XOXO)
