A Useless Argument

Voice 1:

"Let's write about something new,
Like a castle made out of glue,
Or the creatures living in a stinky shoe
And a mouldy piece of cheese, or maybe two?"

Voice 2:

"Well, these are good examples to start with a few,
But I think all those are pretty old,
I mean a stinky shoe? Cheese with mould?
And castles existed centuries ago, or so I'm told
Why not instead, begin with something bold?"

Voice 1:

Oh yes, I guess, that's a good point you hold
Something bold will spice up the thought,
Eyes will be caught, admirers shall be sought,
Roses in the air, fears are to be fought."

Voice 2:

"The sight is wonderful, good things are taught
But you see, the scene is a misery,
The whole world fearless, then of what good will darkness be?
The Boogieman and the zombies, where would they flee?
In turn however, this calls for a mystery!"

Voice 1:

Ah, something spine-chilling it shall be!
Like the lost crown of a Queen
Stolen by her bloody twin,
And not a soul knew where she had been."

Voice 2:

"Ah, the sigh of suspense, well defined,
Is killing me, the smell of success will bind
The entire kingdom together, one of a kind,
And the history shall, itself rewind,
But I suggest we have something fresh to find."

Voice 1:

"Agreed I am, up in my mind,
Like a hint of mint, in the breath of spring,
Flowers blooming, of yellow and pink,
In Wordsworth's words, daffodils will be dancing."

Voice 2:

"Pleased I am with the cool breeze I'm feeling
But even flowers shall die one day,
The rotting greenery will then astray
The hearts of millions, a vicious sight, I must say,
I think you might be going cray-"

Voice 3:

"Hold on, wait up, are you two out of your minds?
Great ideas you both hold, but it's time
To use them all, let the sky fall,
Adele would be proud when they'd stand tall,
And now my friends, cooperation is what it takes
To begin again, and mend your beautiful mistakes."

Voice 1:

"That's wonderful, now shall we begin?
Let's gather our thoughts and put them in-"

Voice 2:

"A blender, I suppose, and mix them together,
Resulting in a story of supple splendour?"

Voice 1:

"Wrath and romance, a modern enigma,
Featuring a young courage filled with dilemma."

Voice 2:

"Fighting for life, with his inner beast,
A victory then will be held, and a grand feast."

Voice 3:

"Sounds spectacular, and I always knew,
Such great stories come out from something new!"
