A month later
Lilly's POV
Dom's first day at work went extremely well. I was shocked at how happy he was when he returned from work. But ever since that day, he's been hustling relentlessly. He comes home at around 1 am every night and curiosity is killing me. Our 3 year anniversary is coming up, so I think it may have something to do with that. Other than that, I have no idea. I also signed Jasmine up for dance class and she seems to be enjoying it. Every day, she comes home with a smile on her face. She dances around the house and honestly it warms my heart. I haven't danced in years and it makes me sad. I need to go to his dance studio and just have a dance session with him. Dance was always a huge part of my life and it kind of breaks my heart since I don't have a lot of time to dance anymore because of my business and career. My thoughts were interrupted by my phone ringing. I check the caller id and instantly smile. It's Dom.
"Hello?" I answer, expecting to hear his voice.
"Mommy, Daddy says that you have to come over right now because he has something he needs to tell you."
"Ok, tell daddy I'm on my way." I say and hang up.
I get in the car and drive to Dom's dance studio. I had no idea what to expect. I arrive much sooner than I had anticipated. I walk into the studio and everything is dark.
"Hello?" I say, as I bump into something. A light switch! I turn on the lights and studio lights up. There is a chair sitting in the middle of the whole studio. Jasmine comes up to me and hands me a bag. Inside there's a bag of skittles and a card that the kids made.
"I love you mommy." says Jasmine.
I tear up hearing those words.
"I love you too, baby."
Jasmine runs over to where the radio is standing and she turns on the music. She gets a microphone and starts singing the first verse of Fetish. And she sounds really good!! Then Dom and the kids come out of nowhere and start dancing their coreographed routine. So that's what they've been working on. The song ends and they all turn around revealing a message written on the back of their shirts: Marry me? Wait what? What's going on? Everything stops and Dom walks up to me and gets on one knee. Oh my god. Is he going to-
"Lilly, every since I've met you, my life hasn't been the same. I love you so much it hurts. I used to fantasize what it would be like to date you, let alone live with you. Now we have a child together, and it feels so surreal. Like how is this my life? And last month I realized something: I am nothing without you and I can't imagine spending the rest of my life with anyone else but you," he says clutching my hands. Tears start to roll down my cheeks. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a box. He opens it, revealing the most gorgeous ring I've ever seen.
"Lilly Saini Singh, will you marry me?"
