- A sequel to This Could Be Us.
It's been a few years since Lilly has given birth to the love of her life, her daughter Jasmine. Dom has been acting a little distant lately. One day, Lilly snaps. Things escalate much quickly than expected.
Lilly's POV I woke up to the annoying sound of my lovely alarm, and I say that with a lot of sarcasm. I rubbed sleep out of my eyes and I groaned at the thought of parting with my warm and soft bed. But then I remembered that I was marrying Dom today and that instantly woke me up, unlike any coffee I've ever drank. A smile played on my face and a slight blush spread on my face. I had called some people over to help get my makeup and hair ready and the reason why u had to wake up so early was because it takes so long to get my hair ready. So when they arrived, they got started on my hair. They braided it into this gorgeous crown and then got started on my makeup. The look they went for matched the colors of my dress and it looked so gorgeous. And finally, even though I was extremely nervous about this part, they helped me get into my dress. Finally, they give me a mirror and I peer into the glass. I gasp and bring a hand to my face. A slight blush spreads on my face. "Thank you so much." I thank each of them and I embrace them. I go over my wedding vows one more time and take a deep breath and go downstairs to eat. Dom already left, and the reason why we didn't eat breakfast together was because it's bad luck for the groom to see the bride before they get married. I eat quickly, being careful not to ruin my lipstick. Mom and Dad walk in and they gasp. Mom tears up and Dad just looks so surprised. "Lilly," his deep voice booms. "You look beautiful." "Thank you dad." I say. And so we call an Uber and we drive to the facility. We step out and we walk inside. I take a deep breath, trying to calm down, reminding myself that there's nothing to be nervous about.
Dom's POV The first word of the song that blared out of the speakers, I realized it was Hold On. Our song. I smiled. Jasmine walked in, sprinkling flowers everywhere. Lauren and Liza and everyone else were already standing in their spots. And then I saw her.

She was wearing this gorgeous dress that accented her eyes and she was smiling. She looked so radiant and I couldn't take my eyes off her. Mr. Singh gave her away and the ceremony began. "Good morning everyone. We are all gathered here to celebrate the union of two souls, two different people becoming one, two people that have found each other. We gather here to unite these two people in marriage. Their decision to marry has not been entered into lightly and today they publicly declare their private devotion to each other. The essence of this commitment is the acceptance of each other in entirety, as lover, companion, and friend. A good and balanced relationship is one in which neither person is overpowered nor absorbed by the other, one in which neither person is possessive of the other, one in which both give their love freely and without jealousy. Marriage, ideally, is a sharing of responsibilities, hopes, and dreams. It takes a special effort to grow together, survive hard times, and be loving and unselfish. Do you both pledge to share your lives openly with one another, and to speak the truth in love? Do you promise to honor and tenderly care for one another, cherish and encourage each other, stand together, through sorrows and joys, hardships and triumphs for all the days of your lives?"
"We do," our voices blend and ring in unison.
"Do you pledge to share your love and the joys of your marriage with all those around you, so that they may learn from your love and be encouraged to grow in their own lives?"
"We do."
"May these rings be blessed as a symbol of your union. As often as either of you look upon these rings, may you not only be reminded of this moment, but also of the vows you have made and the strength of your commitment to each other."
We slip the rings on each other's fingers. I kept looking at my ring then back at Lilly who was paying closely attention to the priest.
"Now Lilly, repeat after me."
"I, Lilly Saini Singh promise to love and support you Dominic and live each day with kindness, understanding, truth, humor, and passion. With this ring I thee wed."
"Now you repeat after me, Dominic. I, Dominic Kyle Sandoval promise to love and support you Lilly and live each day with kindness, understanding, truth, humor, and passion. With this ring I thee wed."
And finally, the priest wrapped up the ceremony.
"Go now in peace and live in love, sharing the most precious gifts you have- the gifts of your lives united. And may your days be long on this earth. I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
I slid my lips onto Lilly's soft, pink lips and we kiss. We turn around and look back at Lilly's and I's parents. They're all either clapping or wiping away tears or looking so so proud. We step down and hug each and every one of our guests and Lilly's mom wept into her shoulder. Lilly comforted her, as much as she could.
Lilly's POV Mom was extremely emotional during the wedding, which was odd, because she didn't cry this much at Tina's wedding. And we all left to some fancy restaraunt that Dom had reserved. I could believe it. I was now Mrs. Sandoval. We ordered, ate, drank and laughed. Just like all of those basic people, I turned around and without looking, I threw my flowers. And guess who caught them. Liza! Finally, the cake had arrived and Dom had given me the first bite, and then we finally go change out of these uncomfortable clothes and go clubbing. Mom and Dad go home to chill with Dom's parents. This was our way of celebrating our marriage. I couldn't believe it. This was the best day of my entire life, and I would learn to forever cherish this moment. We had our first dance, except the thing was we were extremely incoherent and drunk so I don't know how that worked out, but we left our bodies on that dance floor. Around 4 am, which was the latest that I had stayed out, we all left, because exhaustion had finally taken a toll on us. Lauren and Alex were sober and kind enough to drive us and the instant we came home we just threw our stuff in a corner, and I didn't even bother taking off my makeup and I just knocked the eff out, as per usual.
