Blake's P.O.V

When I walked into the room the first thing I saw was Jessica. The second thing I saw was Stephen talking to her, and the third thing I saw was a beautiful little auburn headed baby girl. I walked over.

Stephen: I'll give you guys some privacy.

He smiled.

Me: thanks man..

I then went over to Jessica.

Me: now that's definitely my baby.

We both laughed.

Jessica: yeah well, of course it is.

Me: Jessica, I'm sor-

She cut me off.

Jessica: no I'm sorry Blake, I should've proved to you that it was yours, I shouldn't of went to Stephen. I should've faced my problems.

Me: so.. What about you and Stephen?

I was still a bit confused on everything.

Jessica: he told me that me and you should work things out, he's gunna make things right with his ex wife for his baby girl.

Me: we can finally have a real family?

I smiled a little.

Jessica: of course we can.

Me: so what's our daughters name?

Jessica: Nyla Rose Griffin.

Me: it's beautiful.

I grabbed Nyla from Jessica and held her. I rocked her back in forth in my arms.

She is so beautiful, this is my little girl. Tears formed in my eyes.

I looked at Jessica.

Me: shit.. I hate crying.

I tried laughing it off.

Jessica: we all do it.

We both laughed.

This couldn't be anymore perfect, things were finally gunna go back to normal, just this time we have an extra little person in the house.

I called my mom to tell her the good news, I handed Nyla back to Jessica.

Me: mom?

Mom: yes sweetie?

Me: you are now officially a grandma to a beautiful little girl.

My mom sounded like she was crying.

Mom: oh my gosh, when can I see her? Whats her name? How much does she weigh? Is Jessica okay?!

Me: mom mom.. Calm down.

I laughed.

Mom: I'm sorry, I'm just so happy.

Me: her names Nyla, Nyla Rose Griffin.

Mom: when can I see her?!

Me: whenever you'd like.

Mom: I'll be down sometime next month, I wish I could be there sooner.

Me: it's fine mom. How have you been?

Mom: things have been better, still missing your father. Have you told your brother?

I blanked out for a minute, my dad, I always imagined myself telling him I was a father. He would be so proud.

Mom: Blake?

I snapped back into it.

Me: what, wait sorry. I have to go, I love you.

Mom: love you too honey, give the baby kisses!

Me: I will.

I hung up. I walked back over to Jessica.

Me: my moms super excited.

Jessica: that's great.. Ow..

Me: what what?!

She ached in pain.

Jessica: I'm fine, just a little pain.

Me: so what exactly happened?

Jessica: well Stephen was at his game, and I was thinking about you. And all I felt was pain, I missed you. It was driving me crazy. I knew I couldn't drink because of the baby, so I went to the bar anyways just to listen to the band play and have a coke or something. I called a cab, when I got there everything was fine until some guy named John started talking to me, he was nice but it made me uncomfortable. So I went to the restroom to freshen up, just so I could get away for a bit. When I got back he had ordered me a coke, so I drank it. Within a couple of minutes I blanked out. And then I woke up here.

Me: wow...

Jessica: but the thing is, someone brought me here, but on the way we got into a car accident. It must've been pretty bad...

Tears formed in her eyes..

Me: who was driving?

Jessica: he was drunk, he was only trying to help, and then this happened. He didn't deserve it... For christ's sake, I could've gotten raped and he helped me.

Me: who was it Jessica?

Jessica: it was Louise..... And he's not gunna make it.

She tried to stop herself from crying, but the tears wouldn't stop.

Me: I'm sorry, I'm glad he tried helping though...

I felt bad, I hated the guy but he was trying to help Jessica, so I couldn't be mad.

I held Jessica and the baby close.

Me: everything's going to be okay..

I looked at the both of them, this is my family. Something I've always wanted. This is my future wife and my baby girl.

I kissed Nyla's head and Jessica's.

"I'm not going to let anyone ever hurt you guys.."

I whispered.
