The Doctor's Son

Chapter 6

The Doctor's POV:

"Martha have you seen my sonic screw driver?"I asked as I searched through my pockets

"You had it in you coat right?"She said

"You don't think one of those boys could've taken it, would they?"I said

"They're human boys doctor they wouldn't know what to do with it,"she said,as she typed coordinates into the tardis computer

"Actually Dan is mostly timelord so he could know how to use it,"I said,as I opened the tardis door

"Doctor help!"I heard some one scream around the corner

I darted around the corner to see Phil pinned up against the wall by a dalek.

"YOU MUST BE EXTERMINATED!"It shouted

"Please let me go!"Phil yelled,looking away from the dalek

I could see my sonic screw driver in his pocket. "Hey dalek am I what your looking for!?"I exclaimed,leaping out from the alleyway

"I'M LOOKING FOR THE YOUNG TIMELORD!"It shouted,facing me

"Well you obviously have the wrong boy. Seriously you can't even tell if someone's a human or Timelord, tsk tsk you're slipping dalek."I said,leaning against the wall.

I could hear Phil snickering after I said that, "DO YOU WANT TO BE EXTERMINATED HUMAN!"

"NO THANKS,I'D LIKE TO LIVE!"he shouted with fear

"Why do you want the boy?"I asked the dalek,as I stepped between it and Phil

"HE IS THE YOUNG TIMELORDS COMPANION IS HE NOT?!"The dalek shouted with confusion

"Wait a minute timelord,companion? What is this?"Phil said,cowering behind me

"I'll tell you in the tardis on my mark we make a run,Alright?"I whispered

He nodded.

I grabbed the sonic from Phil's pocket and unscrewed the screws from the beam above the dalek "Run!"I yelled,as I took Phil's hand. The dalek shot one last laser before the beam came crashing down on the it "DOCTOR!"The dalek screeched in defeat. Phil and I escaped to the tardis and closed the door behind us quickly.Phil took deep breaths as he tried to calm down "What was that thing? Why was it after me?!"He exclaimed,still panting as he slid to the floor.

"It was a dalek and I'll explain to you in a little bit,"I said

"Are you to alright?"Martha said,as she crouched down to check on Phil

"A Dalek attacked Phil,its looking for Dan."I said,running my fingers through my hair

"What does it want with Dan?"Phil asked,as he stumbled to his feet

"Well Dan is something called a Timelord from the planet Gallifrey,they are allowed to see every thing that was,is,or what will be,and they can be dangerous.That's why the daleks wanted to destroy them. Then during the Timewar I destroyed most of the dalek race,but they reproduced.Ever since the time war they live in fear of me."I explained "I don't know how he is a Timelord though,has his parents ever acted different?"I asked,looking Phil straight in the eyes

"I knew he was a Timelord,but Dan's never met his parents so he has no idea how his parents were. How can we be sure he's a Timelord?"he said as he leaned against the bars

"Well the tardis told him how to control it,"I said resting my arms on the tardis' control panel

"Anything else,that'd be different?"He asked eager to know more

"They have two hearts,They're smarter then a human and when I say smarter I mean compared to them humans look like gold fish,and they can read Gallifreyan."I spoke very fast

"Hm,ok I'll look out for all that stuff,Thanks doctor."Phil said as he was about to go out the door

"Wait Phil did you take my Sonic or was it Dan?"I asked

"It was Dan I was just returning it,"He turned around and said

"Did he understand how to use it?"I queried

"He used it to unlock the door to our apartment,"he said

"Wow smart kid,"I muttered under my breath "Alright Phil you can go now but be careful,watch out for daleks!"

"Alright I will,Thanks doctor I hope to see you again,"he said as he went out of the tardis.

"Him being Dan's companion I'm pretty sure we'll see that chap again real soon."I muttered with a grin.
