Chapter 17

Phil's POV:

I pulled Dan into my arms and began to cry,feeling his touch felt like bliss relief. "Dan you are such an idiot!"I mumbled into his neck

"I've known that Phil,but I'm your idiot,"He said with a smirk as he held me tighter.

I could still hear some pain in his voice "How much did they hurt you?"He said as he let go of me and looked me in the eyes

"Couple cuts and bruise,two laser wounds,no big deal."

"No big deal!? Phil you basically almost died and what if that happened? What would I-"he paused as he winced in pain."What would I do?"

"Dan don't worry about me you have your own pain to deal with,"

The thought of Dan being in this much pain but still saving me made me think about our whole friendship. What we would do just to save each other, we'd literally die for each other.

"By the way here's your tie back,"I said as I started unwrapping it from my head

"Phil,are you crazy! No,no,no keep it on your head. I don't want you bleeding to death on me."He replied as he wrapped it back around my head

"Alright I guess."

"Now we're gonna have to get ready to run and no matter what happens you keep going,Okay?"He said as he took my hand

"Okay."I said with a tight grip on his hand.

Dan's POV:

We slid down the vent,no sign of daleks yet,thank god. If I got separated from Phil again I wouldn't care if I had to fight a million daleks just to get to him,he was basically my hero. He saved me from bullies and he helped me through the now and again existential crisis,he always made me feel safe.

"Dan?"Phil whispered

"Yes Phil?"I whispered

"What will we do if we get separated again."

"Well I'd go after you again of course,"

"And if it's vice versa?"

"I hope you'll come after me then."I said with a smirk

"Of course I will." He replied firmly.

I could hear daleks faintly in the distance "Phil get ready to run."I whispered

He nodded in agreement.

"WE HAVE FOUND THE TIME LORD!"A dalek yelled

"RUN PHIL!RUN!"I shouted as I let him run in front of me.

Daleks began to shoot from left and right. I felt a laser hit my side but then I quickly recovered. What the fuck just happened,how did that happen?

Then a laser hit Phil on the head,causing him to fall. "PHIL!"I shouted catching up to his collapsed body.

"Phil!Phil!Please wake up! You can't leave me dammit!"I yelled as I shook him and cried"Phil please don't leave me,please stay with me."I cried as I held him

"HAVE YOU GIVEN UP TIMELORD?"I heard a dalek say behind me

I bolted up from the ground,turned my head slightly and laughed at their pity "You no good pieces of tin shit think I'd give up so easily?"I retorted"You fucked up salt shakers don't know me at all do you? That boy on the ground right there is the reason I'm still alive and you know by killing him,its' just makes me want to live for him,right? So um,no thank you no dying for me please."

"WE'LL JUST EXTERMINATE YOU THEN,"

"Go ahead try me."I said looking straight at them

With that they shot right at me and I felt none of it. Finally they stopped shooting

"WHAT IS THIS!"The dalek shouted

"It's called regeneration bitch."I retorted bitterly.

I heard grunting behind me and turned my head to see Phil sitting up. "Phil run now and don't stop running,no matter what you hear."I whispered.

Though weary, Phil still understood and stumbled up to his feet and started to run. "Alright now where were we? Oh yes hit me with your worst,eh."

Phil's POV:

When I made it halfway I heard nothing but shooting,which was like ringing in my ears. I hope Dan would be okay. One last laser was fired before an explosion was sent all the way down the hall causing me to drift to the floor

"DAN!"I screamed

"Phil we have to get out of here." River said as she dragged me off the ground

"But what about Dan? I need him."I whimpered as tears streamed down my face

"There's nothing we can do Phil he's gone."

I began to cry harder when she said those words. My best friend was dead because he saved me and there was nothing I could do to bring him back. Finally we came to the tardis and River opened the doors.

"Phil I'm so glad your okay."Carrie said as she ran to hug me

I cried into her hair as she hugged me "I'm not okay."I whimpered

"Phil,What happened? What's wrong and wait where's Dan?"She said as she wiped my face

"That's what's wrong!"I shouted as I tried to stop crying"Dan is dead and it's all cause of me."I said as I breathed deeply

"He's dead?"The doctor said as he fell back into the chair"No,no that's impossible he can't be dead."

"There was an explosion and I didn't see Dan anywhere,"I said as I choked through my tears.

I wanted to see him again,I wanted him to not be dead,I wanted to feel his touch again,I didn't want to live without Dan. It would be unbearable to live life with out my best friend.
