Chapter 24

Phil's POV:

It's been 3 weeks now since Dan's turned fully human,the doctor was right when he said his feelings for me won't change. Well half right, Dan's just my best friend as of now. I've been putting cover up on for the past couple weeks so Dan wouldn't be concerned about the bruises and scratches on my face from the daleks,I also made sure he never came in when I was changing so he doesn't see my scar from River.

As I put on the last bit of cover up,Dan bolted into my bathroom with the phone in his hand "Hey Phil the hospital just called and-what are you doing?"he said as he stared down at the container behind my back

"Um putting on cover up,I have a really bad zit,"I tried to explain

"Dude you're a horrible liar,"he giggled as he took away the cover up and sat on the bathroom counter"Anyway the hospital called,they said they had medicine for you,I don't know why,your not sick are you?"

"No I'm not sick."I said as I snatched the cover up away from him

"Oh my god Phil your not..."he gasped as he pointed at me

"I'm not what?"I scoffed as I put away the cover up in a drawer

"Pregnant!?"he exclaimed jokingly

"Oh yes Dan can't you tell I'm 5 months pregnant and it's Sarah Michelle Gellar's."I retorted sarcastically as I walked out to get my back pack

He laughed and jumped off the counter,then followed me as I got my jacket. "Can I come with?"he asked after he was done laughing

"Um no Dan I'm just going to go by myself,I won't be long."I said as I slipped on my galaxy jacket

"Why can't I come,wait did I offend you by saying you're a terrible liar,if I did I'm really sorry."he said with a pleading tone in his voice

"No Dan you didn't say anything,"I sighed"I just think you'll be bored in there while you wait for me,You know."I said as I was about to walk out the door

"Alright then why can't I come?"he asked as he followed me down the stairs

"Fine you can come,just don't blame me if you get bored."I said with a sigh

"I won't,"He said as he opened the door and escorted me out"so were you planing on walking or taking a cab?"he said as he put his hands in his pockets

"I was thinking about walking since it's a nice a nice day and all."I said as I marveled up at the sky

"Eh...walking,"he whined

"Hey you decided you want to come,besides it's only a couple blocks."I shrugged as I started walking

"But...but Phil I don't want to walk."he whined

"Stop being so whiney,"I laughed."Now come on I'm going to be late and we can take a cab on the way back!"I shouted as I waited for him

"Okay fine."he sighed before walking over to me quickly.

Dan's POV:

----An hour later----

Phil better take me some where after this,I could've been at home scrolling through tumblr on the couch but no I had to follow Phil. The waiting room was for sure one of the most boring places on this entire planet if you ask me. Finally he came out of the doctors office with a note. I leaped out of the chair as he walked towards me,finally were going home. "So what drugs did they give you? Cocaine or Chrystal meth?"I joked as I nudged him

"Pain killers."he said as he looked down at the note.

Why did Phil need pain pills? He wasn't hurt was he? I mean he looked fine,though he has been acting strange these past couple weeks.

"Are you okay Phil? Why do you need pain pills?"I asked as we walked out of the hospital

"It's nothing really Dan I'm fine."he said with a faint smile

"No really Phil,are you ok?You've been acting really weird,not like your usual self and its been worrying me."I said as I began to frown as I avoided looking at him.

I felt his hand softly rubbed my shoulder "Dan,I'm fine really,"he sighed"now don't worry about me."he said softly with a kind smile,but he had pain in his eyes

"Phil you're not fine,"I whispered as I stopped immediately."Stop lying."I said bitterly under my breath

"Dan stop acting like a child and come on,"he sighed as he stopped ahead of me

"I'm not acting like a child,your acting like a child with your constant lying Phil!"I shouted at him.

He ran over to me and grabbed my hand "Dan can we please just stop talking about this."He whispered

"Can you please at least tell me what's wrong with you."I pleaded with a sigh.

Phil's POV:

"Dan I-"I paused as I saw the doctor escape into the tardis from the corner of my eye"You know what I will tell you but when we get home,I kinda need to see an old friend."I said with a smile as I began to to walk

"Phil?Phil wait for me."he said as he followed behind

"Just wait right there I'll be back I promise."I said with a smirk

"Ok fine,"he pouted.

I hesitated before I knocked on the door"Doctor?"I called as I waited

He opened the door a crack and smiled before opening it all the way "Hello there Phil,"he said happily as he shut the door behind him"How are you and how's Dan."he said as he pulled me into a hug

"I'm doing ok,Dan thinks I'm acting weird cause I haven't really been myself lately."I whispered as I stared at the ground

"Did he ever ask about the scar on your chest?"he said as he poked my chest

"No,not yet,he hasn't seen it but the hospital called today and he answered it. So now he has all these questions and I really don't know how to answer them."I said as I looked up at him

"You'll know what to do when he asks about the scar,"he said as he put his hand on my shoulder

"I hope so,"I sighed"Wait doctor I have something I want to do for you real quick since Dan as half timelord is gone maybe you can meet him as just human Dan."I said happily as I started dragging him towards Dan

"Phil I don't know if I-"he began before I cut him off

"C'mon it'll be fine doctor."I said happily as I skipped towards Dan.

The Doctor's POV:

"Dan I'd like you to meet some one,"he said as we got closer to him"This is -"be began

"John Smith,how do you do Daniel."I said as I shook his hand

"Hi and I'm good I guess,"he said awkwardly"have I seen you somewhere,you look oddly familiar."

"Uh no never seen you a day in my life anyway it was nice to see you again Philip and nice to meet you Daniel,I have to run bye!"I said quickly with a nervous tone in my voice as I was off

"But -I guess I'll see you soon then."Phil said with a sigh before I slipped into the tardis

"Was that Phil?"Martha asked as she ran from one of the hall ways

"Yes,yes but I told him that we were off and to busy to chat."I said as I pulled the last lever

"You just didn't want to see Dan,is that it?"she scolded me

"I can see him that way Martha,its just not him."I sighed as the tardis started moving.

It was to hard to see Dan and him not remember me. I didn't want to ever see him as a human,it gave me a dark feeling in my chest. Hopefully someday if our paths ever crossed again I wouldn't feel this way,but for now I just had to leave him behind.
