"I'll finish the rest of your punishment later." Hayes whispers in my ear, letting my hand strike him away. "This isn't over."

He starts to make his way out of the classroom, but turns back to me to remind me, "Oh, and tell your little Boyfriend that, that was only the first part of his punishment."

He leaves me astounded in my seat, winking to me, grazing out into the school hall.

I am left silent and unknowledgeable, the storm still raging on outside.

Welcome to Hell.

I meet Aspen after school, at my locker, and we walk with his arm slung over my shoulder to our homes. Stunned in silence as the rain pours around us.

Finally after about 5 minutes of silence, in the depressing rain. Our hair getting all drenched, wet, the clouds collecting into deeper and darker clouds of a dark blue, gray, and purple gloom and fright. Aspen looks over to me with dark brown eyes, still holding his sparkle of life. "So. I guess they're back."

"Yepp." I say quietly nodding my head. Bright spider lightning flashing to our right, in the purple, cloudy, fogged sky. Blinded by pouring rain.

There was an inevitable silence. We wondered what to say or even think next, as we blankly walked forward, not even really feeling the rain, but soaking it in at the same time.

I bite my lip peering down, watching us walk along my eyes falling to Aspen's and my blue and gray vans, distracted by the movement, soaking in every rumble of thunder.

I then look up to see Aspen's head bopped up, biting his luscious lips, staring ahead as the raindrops drip down off of his dark quiff.

Aspen turns his head to me, looks right in my eyes and taking me by surprise with his words. He tightens his grip around my shoulder, then letting it slip down to my waist hugging me sideways so my head rests in his chest as he speaks. "Sandra Greyir," he says, making me peer up into his eyes, a smile forming on my face,"I am in love with you." A smile exploding on his face.

I had no idea what to say, my heart was fluttering in my chest. I said all I could,"Aspen."

"I am." Aspen said looking over to me, behind a curved smile, his eyes sparkling."I am in love with you, and I'm not in the business of denying myself the simple pleasure of saying true things. I am in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and thaw we're all doomed and that there will come a day when all our labor has been turned to dust, and I know that the sun will swallow the only earth we'll ever have, and I am in love you."

His smile taking over his face, the corners of his eyes crinkling. He was truly beautiful. "Aspen." I said as he began to laugh out of sheer joy. "Aspen." I said joining him trying to force the words out of him. He only laughed harder. "You memorized it!" I said punching him playfully and lovingly in the shoulder. "For me?"

"Ya." Aspen says, nodding.

"You're so sweet." I added, nusling into his warm chest.

He me held me close, rubbing my arm as the rain cascaded harder. Then suddenly spinning me around so my hands were held in his, "I love you Sandra Greyir." He said. Then he closed his eyes, leaning into me, as I did so too, our hands still intertwined. Then he stopped when our noses touched, I opened mine to realize he was looking right at them. "Don't you ever forget that." Then we closed our eyes and closed the space between us, his soft lips lightly crashing against mine in the pouring rain, as we continued, shielded under our own umbrella. The blissfulness of the kiss went on for what seemed like minutes, hours, days, years, filled with life, passion, and love. Opening my senses, but stuck in this moment.

When we both pulled back, we both bent down laughing still holding each others hands. Our light-hearted laughs echoing through the rain. Hysterical off of love and glee. When he settling down a bit, Aspen took off his maroon jacket and wrapped it around my shoulders, as I slipped my arms into the overly-sized jacket.

"I love you too, Aspen Adairs." I said, smiling as his face lit up. I planted a light soft kiss on his lips. His cheeks blossomed red, even in the pale weather, lighting up and warming the atmosphere around us.

Then he picked me up, bridal style as I giggle in his arms. He pushed the wet hair out if my face. "Ready to go home Princess?" He asked.

"Yes." I spoke.

Then he carried me home along the stitched path, flowers blooming through the cracks as our steps drummed to the beat of our hearts together. As one. Two hearts as one, one in the same. Beating together as the butterflies flurried, along the stitched path to home. Love awaits, but it has already been found, deep in our hearts, shining through the rain.
