The food looked like meatloaf, corn, and gravy. Looked disgusting. All I imagined in that slice of meat was the eyes of an innocent animal. No way.
   "Not eating that."
"Okay. You guys can go to your rooms." He informed.
Wait, "rooms"? Plural? Oh no. We're separated again.
"Mia on left down there, you on right."
And we listened. Except for one detail, Ethan followed me into my room. We made screaming faces but were silent. We needed to let him allow us to share a room. Gain his trust maybe.
"What're we going to do, we have different rooms."
   "I don't know." He said.
"Well get to the other room, I'm not having you in trouble."
   "Mia... "
   "Go! No discussion." I snapped.
And so he went. I sat there on my bed for a good solid minute, and remembered, Ethan had the phone. What if he gets caught? He must've hidden it by now. I have to make sure though.
I got up and reached for my door knob. When I opened it the man was right there. Staring at me blankly, and creepily. I had to close my jaw with my hand.
   "Where you going, sweetie?"
"Ca- can I see Ethan?" I stuttered.
   "Not right now, he's busy."
And I turned around and shut my door then. What does it mean he's "busy"? He was probably going in there. I walked up to my door and peeked under it on the ground.
I saw and heard Ethan's door open. The man walked in and my adrenaline shot up. What will he do to Ethan? Or me? Then my thinking got interrupted by sounds of restraining and grunts. It sounded like the man was on top of Ethan. Was he trying to... I hope not. It only lasted for a few more seconds, then it stopped.
I heard the man leave his room and walk to the other end of the house into the kitchen I think. I opened my door slowly and quietly, then ran across my door and walked into Ethan's room. I don't even care if I get caught. I have to check on him. I grabbed the phone out of his basketball shorts and shoved them into mine. That was before I realized, Ethan was out cold.
