We finally stepped into the car and watched as Rachel and her friends drove away. Her red hair reflecting the sun. I always liked her eyes. Bright blue and so bitter cold they could kill. Her and her friends were all pretty nice. All good kids. Good grades, good hygiene (trust me it's not often you find that at my school), and all that.
My grades aren't bad. I'm not the brightest, but I definitely try. I have two advanced classes (science and language arts). I don't necessarily like them, but they're just the easiest classes. I have "A" and "B" honor role, so I don't really freak out.
On the other hand, Ethan is brilliant. No doubt he's getting a scholarship. I would love to go to college, but I'm just not at that level. He has one "AP" class, and all the rest are advanced. Straight "A's" too. And the defensive line for the football team. Talk about model student.
We both do love school though. I'm in the theatre club, and in marching band. I've been playing clarinet for five years now, and I guess I'm pretty good. I made All-State (basically the best instrumentalists in the state of Florida make this one group).
I love to act too. It's how I express myself. I have a problem with talking about my feelings, so I don't talk. I act.
