I walked back in my room and waited on my bed for a few minutes hoping he would come in after me, but he didn't. I threw myself on my face and cried. Silently died inside. I really can't believe this.
A cried for a little bit. Actually it was a long time. Before I knew it, the man called out dinner. Ethan and I stepped out of our rooms at the same time, but ignored each other. I headed for the table when I saw what the man made.
Fruit, beans, and salad. I didn't even ask... How did he know, or is this a coincidence? I don't think he would've been nice enough to change his normal menu because his hostage girl is vegan.
"Why'd you make this?" I asked.
"Because you're my family. I have to make sure you guys are safe. And healthy, which means eating."
"How long are you making this style of food?"
"Forever. You can't eat meat so I'll make my own." He said.
I looked over to Ethan who was engaging in our conversation. Did Ethan tell him? Why would he? We are on bad terms right now.
I sat down and began to eat all the food. It wasn't very good, but at least I can eat it. Wait... Poison. Frick, I was so hungry I forgot. I looked over at Ethan to see him happily eating. He's fine, so the food must be too.
I finished and the man brought me a water. After I chugged it, he asked if I wanted more, but I denied. I still don't trust it, never will.
