Levi's POV
For the next expedition, we had to put Eren in the rear center of the formation. Erwin exclusively explained to the members he trusted the reason for this expedition.
I heard Hanji scream outside, and I went to see what it was about.
I found her running her hands through her hair in frustration, and she was sobbing.
"Sonny! Bean!" She screamed more in agony. "Who did this to you?!"
I felt bad for her. Hanji always has a different point of view of titans, which has made her bond with them. Especially with Sonny and Bean who she has spent a lot of time experimenting with. They helped us learn a lot.
I rested my hand on her shoulder in comfort.
"We learned a lot from them. I'm just as upset as you are. I'm sure they were glad you didn't kill them." Hell, I have no idea how titans think, but that's all I could come up with. Hanji looked at me with a runny nose.
I pulled used my cloak to wipe it clean.
"はなたらすな。" I scolded.
[hana tarasuna ~ don't drip from your nose]
Now I need to get my cloak washed.
She sniffled, trying to calm herself down.
"Thank you, Levi." I patted her head and went back to my office. As I passed by all the Survey Corps bystanders, and among them, I saw Erwin lean in to say something to Eren.
As I don't like to stick my nose into people's business, I continued forward.
My squad consisted of handpicked elites. Handpicked by me of course. But I don't think that my group is enough. I needed someone new and someone who wouldn't hesitate to kill Eren if necessary.

I went to the barracks where the new members of the Survey Corps stayed. Dieter was teaching them the formation, but not telling them what the expedition was for. The trainees think that it's to transport goods.
I opened the door, pausing Dieter's sentence and everyone's eyes to land on me.
"Who graduated in the top 10?" I immoderately asked with authority laced in my tone.
10 hands were raised.
"Who graduated in the top 3?" Seven hands went down. . "Which one of you know Eren enough to guess what's on his mind?" A hand went down. "Who is prepared to kill him if necessary?"
I saw Mikasa's face turn to anger, hesitating to lower her hand. When she did, Irmina's hand was the only one raised. She looked mad at herself for keeping her hand up.
"Follow me." I commanded. "Dismiss her, Dieter." I said before exiting the classroom. Irmina's footsteps followed closely behind.
"You're really willing to kill your friend?" I asked.
"Do you really mean kill?"
"He possesses the power to help humanity strive again, so maybe not. You'll be ordered to kill him if he shows to be a threat. If not, you're to immobilize him by cutting off his limbs." I heard her gasp, but continued on to get out of the building.
"I don't believe he'd turn on us, so I'm not worried about having to kill him. His regeneration powers will allow him to grow back his limbs, so I'm not hesitant to cut them off if ordered to."
"Perfect."
Irmina's POV
"Eren!" Captain Levi had lead me to the basement of the former Survey Corps HQ, and I held onto the bars in which he was kept behind.
