Me and Carmen walk outside into the forest to practice my shifting. Well first I need to get my wolf back but still.

"Okay now think about something that you really want in your life and focus on that and your wolf will come back"

I think about Maddy and having a happy life with her....nothing

"Its not working" I say disappointingly.

"Think about you and Levi then"

"I don't want that" I snap.

"Yes you do, I know your just afraid to have it because of what has happened in your life"

I sigh and think about me and Levi.

Adelaide?

Alaska! Your back!

Thanks to you! Gosh I really wanted to help you for the past 3 years. I'm happy that I'm here now

"It worked, shes back"

I then hear a twig snap and turn around, it's Levi.

"Uh what are you doing here?"

Mate! Mate!

Shut up Alaska or I'll shut you out

"I was wondering what your doing"

"Its none of your business. Come on Carmen lets do this later" I say and walk away.

Carmen thought since I will be staying for a bit that I should have my own room. It's a really nice room, a violet bed sheet with purple pillows, a light brown bookshelf and blue curtains. I thank her and she walks out and goes to check up on Maddy.

I unpack my bag, putting my foundation on the bed side table and clothes into the closet. I grab a book, sit down in a velvet chair and start to read.

A few hours later, it was dinner time for the pack and I was invited by Carmen to join and I thought why not. It went silent when I entered the room with Carmen but I went to sit down and ignored them. They all seemed kind of happy though, they all started talking to me and telling me stories. It felt like I was part of a pack again, I was happy.

"Are you sure we haven't met before?" Karly asked.

"Nope" I say shoving food into my mouth. God I look like an idiot.

I look back up and Tom and Early are giving each other a look. What are they up to?

-Levi POV-

I was doing a perimeter check tonight with another pack member named Caleb. 

Alpha

I hear Tom say

Yes Tom

I need you to come back to the house

I tell Caleb I will be back and run back towards the house. Feeling the breeze rush through my black hair was nice. I shift back and walk upstairs to Tom's room, I knock on the door and he opens up straight away.

"Well?" I say.

"Okay you need to come inside" he says.

I walk inside to see Karly sitting on the chair tapping her foot rapidly which she did when she was nervous.

"Okay so I called that orphanage that Adelaide said she went to and..." 

There was a moment of silence, Early then opened her mouth to speak.

"They said that Adelaide and Maddy died a week after they arrived at the orphanage".
