I Spy a Text

"What the hell was that for?" I say madly.

"He attacked me!" said Tom.

"He was scared! He was trying to protect himself!"

There was silence and I just rolled my eyes.

"Can I please get a room for him?" I ask.

"Yes right this way." said the nurse.

I put my arm around him and cover his wrist to hide his crescent moon tattoo. Tom comes to help but I tell him to back off and let Levi do it instead. I tell Levi to leave the room and get. out my emergency foundation for my wrist and put it on Jared's. As I look down to apply it, I see scratch marks, I start to look on the rest of his body and there are marks. He's been tortured but I thought he was dead...

FLASHBACK

I get out with Madelyn just in time and I see a boy in the distance.

"Jared" I say relieved and run towards him.

"Oh my god! Addy, Maddy, your alright!" He smiles and gives us a hug.

A few months after that we stayed in an abandoned building, stealing food and supplies we needed. But one day the Red Moon pack found us. They barged in to the building and we ran but Jared caught his leg on a bit of vine and got tangled.

"Addy! Help!" he says.

I ran back to help but he was to tangled. He told me to go but I refused at first, Jared told me to leave again and to do it for Maddy. So I ran and I thought he was dead.

There was a knock at the door and Carmen comes in.

"Did you get rid of the tattoo?" She asked.

"Uh, yeah."

"So, Levi told me what happened between you two" Carmen said tapping her foot.

"Look I'm sorry Carmen but as soon as I relized I pushed him back and ran into Maddy's room"

"Look just don't let the kiss happen again. I don't care about the picnic just no lips touching"

I nod and sit down in the chair. I wait for Jared to wake up, but that turns into a day, then 2 days. People came in and out but I didn't move an inch. I left him now its my responsibility to make sure he's safe.

Levi comes in with another picnic basket.

"Not today Levi" I sadly say.

"You've been in here for two days. Just come out for a while"

"You should" says Carmen coming through the door "I'll watch Jared"

I nod and head out the door to the part of the forest where me and Levi have our picnics. We started to play the card game cheat again, and I finally won 3 games....out of 7. We laughed and talked like usually and started connecting again. I kinda wanted to kiss him again but I couldn't, I cant put him in any danger.

"Ugh, I forgot to pack the chips. I'll be back" Levi says.

He gets up and runs off, I see something drop out of his pocket but doesn't realize and keeps running. I get up and head towards the object he dropped, it was his phone so I pick it up and sit back down on the picnic blanket. Levi's phone vibrates and I look at it.

Tom: Have you gotten more information about Adelaide yet?
