I'm in my car headed to Dyckman to visit some friends. As I'm driving, I can't help but to wonder what's going on with Erica and Rich in the studio. I trust HER and all but that corny ass dude is a different story.  Ugh...this shit is for the birds. I'm just gonna call HER. Nah, I won't do that because that will really make HER feel like I don't trust HER.

I arrived at my friend Maria's apartment. "What's up Cyn?" "Everything but nothing. What's going on with you? I haven't seen my day #1in a minute." I said back to HER .She looks at me and said,"Um...what's wrong with you"? Oh brother...here we go. I can't hide anything from HER. "So what's up? Talk to me." she demanded.

I went to the living room and said,"It's nothing really. Erica is at the studio with Rich because he has a track for HER and I'm feeling some type of way about it". "Ok...keep going". "Well, don't get me wrong, I trust my baby but it's that fool that has my nerves going in all different directions. He always on some slick shit".

"Cyn as your friend, I'm gonna keep it all the way 100 with you. Erica knows what she has. She's not gonna do anything to mess what ya'll have up. Remember, she proposed to you. She chose you in despite of everything. She will go through hell and back just to make sure that you are always good. Give HER a chance because if you keep beating yourself up about this corn ball, you'll never will be at peace".

She's right. My baby chose me over him so why do I need to worry? I'm gonna call my future wife just to tell HER that I love HER.

I go in my purse, grab my phone and hit Erica on speed dial. As I'm waiting for the phone to ring, it goes straight to voicemail. "Oh hell nah". "Cyn, what's going on? Why are you so turnt up right now?" Maria asked me. "Her phone went straight to voicemail". I called maybe three more times and all three times...voicemail.

THIS IS WHAT THE FUCK WE NOT GON' DO

"Maria, I'll be back. I have to make a run real quick". I jumped into my car and head to the Financial District.

ERICA

So I'm in the studio listening to the track that Rich has for me.

"Just you and me...we're dancing all over the world...Now everybody feels the beat...the whole world feels the beat..."

"So Mena, what do you think?"he asked me. "Yo Rich, the song is mad dope. You did good my dude. So what's next? Wait...is this MY song or are you gonna give it away again? lol"  "Nah, it's all you." he reassured me. "Ok cool." I said

Yo, this guy looks like he's up to something. He doesn't look like he's in creep mode but a calm one.

"So how are you and Cyn?" he asked me. "We are great...better than ever. Why do you ask"? "No reason....just wanted to know." he said "Um...ok. Well speaking of my"soon-to-be" I have to get going. I'm suppose to meet up with HER soon". "Ok but I have something to say to you before you leave". "Alright..."I said with the look of shock.

"Mena, I've been doing a lot of thinking lately and I have come to the conclusion that I want to be with you. After all the nonsense that went on last year and seeing you with Cyn has made me rethink everything. I know that you said that we are completely done and you yave moved on but I feel like the relationship with Cyn is just your way of getting over me. Erica, what I'm trying to say is that, I'm ready to be the man you've always wanted me to be. I wanna be with you".

As he is giving his speech, I'm looking at him like is he serious?

"Rich, I've waited an ENTIRE year to hear what you just said and now that I'm finally happy with someone who actually gives a damn about me, you wanna pull this? I don't know what to say other than, I'm in love with Cyn. I'm marrying Cyn. You and I are just working together...that's it. Nothing more. I am finally over you and you are just gonna have to except that".

"Erica, you are not where you wanna..." Before he could finish saying what he was saying, I hear somebody talking who sounds a lot like my baby. "That's right, she's over you".

It was my baby.!!!

"Babe, how long have you been standing there?" " Long enough to know that you are really serious about US. I heard everything you said babe and Iove you so much. Thank you".

"See babe, I told you that I was over him. So do you trust me?" I asked HER. "More than you'll ever know. Are you done here?" she asked me. I turn to Rich,"Well, are we done"? "Yep...I guess in every sense of the word."  "Good, let's go."she said.

We started walking down the hallway and I'm wondering why she came up here when she said that she wasn't.

"Babe, what made you come to the studio anyway"? "Well, I called you to tell you that I love you but your phone kept going to voicemail. I'm not gonna lie, mad shit was running through my head. So I hopped in my car and here I am. I'm sorry that I doubted you baby". she said. "Baby my phone is in the car. It went dead so I put it on the charger...in the car. I'm sorry that by me doing that had you in your feelings.  Cyn, you have to know that I'm yours and that's it. Look, it doesn't matter now because you witnessed it yourself. However,I want you to do something." I said to HER. "And what's that?" she asked. "Remember your reason for calling me in the first place? You know? To tell me that you love me" "Yeah"she said.  "Well, can you tell me now?" I asked with my puppy dog eyes that I give HER when I want something. lol "I love you MY FUTURE WIFE." she said. "Good, because I love you too and don't forget that."

We both giggled for a few seconds. She leaned in and we kissed!!!
