Erica's Birthday Part Two

ERICA

I just arrived back to New York and I'm so exhausted. Cyn has been trying to tell me that I need a break but you know me...work work work.

I go to the apartment to try and take a nap but I get a phone call on my way in the door from my friend Michelle.

MICHELLE~What's up Erica?
ME~Nothing. Just walked in the door. What's going on with you?
MICHELLE~Just finished getting everything ready for my son's birthday party
ME~Oh yeah, that's right...
MICHELLE~I know that you just got in but are you still gonna be able to make it?

I am pretty tired but I made a promise to Michelle and my lil' man that I'll be there

ME~ Yeah, I'll be there. Just give a a few minutes to take a shower and I'll be there right after.
MICHELLE~Cool. See you in a minute. By the way HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
ME~Lol Thanks girl.

We hang up from each other and I jump in the shower.

20 minutes later

I get out the shower, get dressed and call Cyn.

HER~Hello
ME~Hey baby
HER~Hi babe
ME~What are you doing?
HER~I just left my photoshoot and driving to Michelle's. Do you want me to come by and get you?
ME~Nah, I'm headed out now and it'll be out the way the way for you to come all the way over here. I'll just meet you there. Plus, if you come, we may not leave!!! lol
HER~Hahaha...you are such a perv babe lol
ME~Only, with you. Ok babe, I'll see you in a little bit. I love you.
HER~I love you too bye

Gosh, I can't wait to see HER. I'm such a lucky girl.

I arrive to Michelle's and I see all kids. It made me miss King so much more than I already do but I know I'll see him on Monday.

I'm in the kitchen talking to someone when I feel a hand cover my eyes. I quickly turn around and see my fiance.

HER~Hey
ME~BABE!!! Come here.

I grabbed HER close to me so fast and just kissed HER

HER~Somebody missed me lol
ME~You have no idea
HER~I've missed you too. How are you? Are you mad tired?
ME~Yes. I probably won't stay to much longer. I'm exhausted babe.
HER~Do you want me to leave with you or nah?
ME~Of course. I just want to lay in your arms and go to sleep before we head the the club tonight.
HER~What baby wants, baby gets.

10 minutes later

"Come on everybody, it's time us to sing Happy Birthday to Jay" , Michelle yelled

We sing happy birthday to Jay and I was ready to go. Cyn said,"Babe, let me run to the bathroom real quick and then we can leave".

I really didn't have to go to the bathroom. I went to go get King and HER mom.

I texted Michelle to bring out a decoy cake and to sing happy birthday to Erica.

They were in the middle of the song when I walked King down the stairs holding a cake of his on. Erica looks up to me and looks down to see King. HER eyes got real wide and she just busted out crying. King walked up to HER with his cake. She takes his cake, put it on the table that was next to HER, picks him up and just hugged him. By that point, everybody who was there was in tears. She looked so surprised and happy. I couldn't hold myself any longer and I just started crying. To see my fiance and my soon to be son having that moment made me feel like "That's my family right there".
