As I walked off the plane, I fought to calm my racing heart. I couldn't wait to see Jake - for him to see me. The new Dana Ellison.
I looked at the mass of faces around me. Where was Jake? Dad hadn't said for sure that Jake will be the one to meet me, he said one of the Janssen brothers. And oh well, there are two, my bestfriend Zach and my ultimate crush Jake. But I wished for it so hard that it would be jake that I convinced myself it would happen just like in my daydreams.
Of course Jake will be looking for the same old ponytailed Dana. And when he saw me, he'd do a double take, or maybe he wouldn't recognize me at all. Then when he finally realized who I was, he'd be speechless. I would give him a mysterious smile, and he'd become mine forever and ever.
My eyes continued scanning the crowd. He had to be here somewhere. He had to be!
That's when I noticed a familiar guy smiling at me, he has messy blond hair, a great body and a very familiar smile. Now where did I see that smile?
"Dana." he called out, while waving at me. "Hey, Dana."
Oh my God. "OMG," I blurted out. "Zach?" I can't believe my eyes I was gone for a year, and Zach was this good-looking now? "Zach!" I ran to him in a rush of excitement.
He gave me a bear hug. "Where's Jake?" I asked expectantly.
I saw Zach's jaw tensed a little. Then he smirked. "He's busy so I came instead, I hope you're not disappointed."
I gave him one more sweeping look. He was turned from a geek to a total hottie over the year. Nah. definitely not disappointed.
