Reading a human book.

The ink runs a little,

And the pages slightly stick.

But I can read it.

. . .

Under the sea,

Absorbed in English words.

It tells of swords and heroes,

The good and the bad.

The ink is fading.

. . .

Under the sea,

Reading this interesting book.

These things are dated,

Is it private?

The dates come less often now.

. . .

Under the sea,

Puzzling at the words now.

The writer mentions a boat out to sea,

Was it the writer's boat?

Did all this really happen?

. . .

Under the sea,

There are no more pages to read.

It just stopped quickly.

The last words written,

Are pleads of help.

. . .

Under the sea,

Are creatures called mermaids.

We pull you under to us,

And then steal your things.

We never regret our damage until the deeds are done.
