Her alliance with Master Albert's creations was still fairly new, but that didn't make her any less nosy. While the young woman was hired to keep the Sage Trinity's secrets, it did not stop her from trying to find more about them in her spare time. It was by pure accident that she found out that Prometheus and Pandora were connected to Master Albert. It was by luck that she happened to find the location of their calibration pods with nothing to go on but an offhanded remark by Prometheus. A certain kind of luck, depending on who you asked, that would only lead to more trouble.
And, as nothing else was expected of her, Juno would not leave Master Albert alone about it.
"Please?"
"No."
"Please?!"
"No."
"Oh please Albert, lemme see them!" Juno full out begged.
"Juno, keep your voice down or you'll cause a scene." Master Albert replied coldly.
"I am a scene!" the teen wildly declared, throwing her arms up in the air for emphasis. Master Albert backed a way a little, to avoid being accidentally slapped.
"That's... one way to put it..." the Sage immediately mumbled under his breath. After quietly coughing into his fist, Master Albert straightened himself up to continue the argument with Juno.
"Is there nothing I could do to change your mind, Juno?" he then asked her. "The calibration process is a long, boring, and repetitive exercise. Surely you don't want to see them in such vulnerable positions?"
"I want to see them!" she insisted, carefully tugging on his robe's sleeve now. "I want to know what happens during their recalibrations! Why do they need calibrations anyway? They don't break down that often, do they?"
"Calm down Juno." Master Albert frowned. "One question at a time."
Juno looked up at the Sage with wide, puppy-like eyes. "Why do they need recals Master Albert?" she asked, letting this be her only question for the moment. For a moment, he looked back at her, placing a hand on top of hers.
"They are destined for something very special Juno." he carefully told her. "The two are recalibrated every so often to make sure they are better suited for that task."
The Sage then looked her directly in the eye before saying, "And you are to never refer to the process as 'recal' again. Do you understand Miss Persica?"
Juno gave an eager nod in agreement.
"When do we go?" she immediately inquired after.
"Soon." the Sage promised her tonelessly. He even allowed his hand to absently pat hers once or twice before repeating, "Soon."
. . .
"Oh..." the young woman marveled at the capsules. Master Albert glared at her, faintly reminded of someone from his past.
"You don't undress them during their calibrations?" she then wondered to him. Finding himself taken aback by the odd question, Master Albert recoiled.
"Having them undress before would make the calibrations last longer." he soon informed her. "I have quite a bit of business for these two to perform on a daily ritual- as much as these calibrations are mandatory, they can also drag on for far too long under the wrong circumstances."
"You mean the right circumstances, don't you?" Juno teased, even looking up at him with a smile. It was greeted with the typical stoicism she had come to respect and get annoyed by. The teen shrugged it off and took notice of the data readings by Prometheus's capsule. Master Albert watched with some interest as her face scrunched while attempting to decipher the numerous codes and commands on screen.
