Ella's POV

I decided on wearing blue skinny jeans and a black baggy jumper to James' house, I wasn't going to dress up for the jerk. Who does he think he is?

"Do you want a lift to your study date?" My mum asked, waggling her eyebrows. I rolled my eyes before shaking my head,

"No, and it is not a study date, I can tell you that now. It's with this guy called James and he's a real jerk, he hangs around with all the popular people and thinks he can get any girl he wants. I bet he hasn't even had a proper relationship, I bet he just sle-"

"Stop rambling El, I only asked if you wanted a lift." My cheeks became a little flustered at how much I said, I turned away and picked my bag up.

"Well the answer is still no." I grabbed my phone and sent a quick text to James.

To: James Mcvey

where is your house?:/

Stupid me forgot to get his address before agreeing to his stupid tutoring sessions, I slid my phone into my pocket and followed my mum down the stairs. She began moaning about how I need to be safe and that I have to be home before it gets too dark, she was quite over protective considering I was her only child. I felt my phone buzz so I retrieved it and read the message,

From: James Mcvey

13 Southport Street babe, I'll wait on the front;)x

Babe - really? I huffed and put my phone away once again,

"Yes mum, I'll be safe. Bye." I gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and set off for James' house. I had no idea why I agreed to go there, I hadn't spoke to the boy in five years and I knew whatever he was up too wouldn't finish well. I sighed and ran my fingers through my long brunette hair as I turned multiple corners, I cringed at the sight of a couple in the year below us sucking each others faces off. This wasn't what I wanted to see at this time of night.

I approached the bottom of Southport Street and rolled my eyes when I spotted James, he was sat on the wall at the front of his house. He had his feet dangling and a cigarette hanging loosely from his mouth, he was dressed in black skinny jeans, a white shirt and his usual leather jacket, not to mention his black shades accompanying his eyes. That didn't make sense, there was no sun yet he still wore sunglasses. I walked steadily to his house, trying to avoid the fact that his eyes were glued to me.

I played it cool and flipped my hair back, not seeing the lampost in front of me and colliding it with it. I was knocked back and immediately felt a throbbing in my head, and to make matters worse, James was now crying with laughter. I couldn't believe I'd just embarrassed myself so stupidly, I hated being clumsy. I finally reached James' house and he'd just managed to pull himself back together,

"Did that hurt?" He smirked, I slapped his shoulder.

"Shut up, but yes it did." He beckoned me towards him,

"Here, let me have a look." I frowned and shook my head.

"No, I'm fine." He sighed and grabbed my hand, pulling me towards him. I stood in-between his legs and he lifted his shades off his face and slid them onto my head, pushing them into my hair to hold my hair back. His soft hands ran across my new bump causing me to wince a little,

"Sorry babe, didn't mean to hurt you." I stared at him blankly,

"What?" He chuckled, inspecting my head.

"Babe, why do you keep calling me that?" He shrugged his shoulders and hopped off the wall so we were a lot closer,

"I'm not sure, it's quite catchy, suits you well too." He stepped aside and lead me into his house, I sighed and followed him, making sure there were no obstacles in my way. I gasped as we entered his house, it was beautiful. The décor was an elegant black and white style and it felt so welcoming, as you walked in you were greeted by a wonderful smell of vanilla and everything looked immaculate. I couldn't believe he lived here,

"It's great isn't it." He smirked, pulling off his leather jacket and hanging it on the banister. I nodded and stared around in awe, how did I not know he lived in such a fancy house?

"Are you coming or?" James asked, halfway up the grand staircase.

"Uh, yeah. Sure." I clutched my bag and followed him up the stairs, the sound of our feet echoing on the stairs was the only thing to fill the silence. He walked straight to the room on the very far left, he pushed the door open and allowed me to enter first. I soon regretted it though as I felt like he'd just stare at my bum as I entered. His room was grand too, decorated in a similar black and white pattern like the rest of the house but more to James' style.

There were various autographed posters on one wall, with a black acoustic guitar hanging proudly alongside them. His large double bed had various music magazines scattered on it and his book shelf was filled with music books, the wide TV facing the bed had surround sound speakers hooked up next to them and of course, a white Xbox on the shelf underneath.

"What do you think?" He asked, slipping his shoes off. I studied it more as I removed my shoes,

"It's great, fantastic, wow..." He chuckled a little and threw our shoes aside.

"So are you going to tutor me or just marvel at how amazing my room is?" He asked, winking at me. I have to say, his wink and smile combined killed me.

"I'll tutor you." I smiled, he leapt onto his bed and patted the spot next to him. I was a bit reluctant at first,

"What? Do you not want to get in bed with me?" That stupid yet beautiful smirk was playing on his lips once again, I wanted to go over there and wipe it off but I kept my anger under control. I took a seat on the bed next to him and crossed my legs, emptying the contents of my bag onto his bed.

"So we're looking at soldiers in the war, I think we should create a diary from one of the soldiers. It will help us show our understanding, right?" I asked, turning to James. He grinned at me,

"Sorry babe, what was that?" I sighed and repeated myself, hoping this time he actually paid attention.

"Sounds great." He mumbled, unlocking his phone and typing away. I leant forward and snatched it away from him, causing him to leap onto me, holding me down against the bed.

"What are you doing?" I squealed,

"Give me my phone back!" He replied, I shook my head and he shrugged his shoulders.

"Fine." He attacked my sides and began tickling me until I was laughing uncontrollably, I squirmed underneath him and he giggled.

"Do you give in?" I nodded my head, gasping for breath. He got up off me and I handed his phone back to him,

"Can you please just listen to what I have to say?" He chucked his phone aside and scooted closer to me, lowering himself so our faces were inches apart.

"Anything for you babe."
