Alexander Mason "Alex" Bishop is a witch and the adopted son of John and Greg Bishop, and the boyfriend and soulmate of Peyton Halliwell. He is a direct descendant of the evil witch Morgause, and the biological son of the late Morgan, an evil witch who was the reincarnation of Morgause and the antagonist for the second half of season three. Although not the most moral witch, Alex has shown a great deal of his protective side, often brought out by those he cares about.

He first appeared in the second season as a mysterious figure with unknown intentions, he met Peyton at P3 after saving her from a disastrous date. He later on predicted, correctly, on what she wanted out of romance, which left a lasting impression on Peyton. The two continued to meet up, and he later on began actively helping her and family vanquish demons, after he revealed he was a witch to them. He later on began a romance with Peyton, which initially most of her family disapproved of. However, his willingness to stick by Peyton through thick and think lessened their judgement on him and they saw past the bad boy facade.

Alex's closest friend in the family is Chris Turner Halliwell and Christa Turner Halliwell, and he is also best friends with Peyton's younger sister, PJ Halliwell.

In the Evil Wyatt future he met Peyton a year before Wyatt's takeover and they later on married. He died while trying to protect Sara Turner, after Wyatt discovered she wasn't Christa.

Active powers: Deflection- The ability to deflect the active powers of others. Alex was chosen as a child to have this ability bestowed on him for his generation. It can be used to deflect all kind of supernatural powers that are used against the wielder using an energy-based shield that generates from the wielder's hand. However, this power must be consciously activated in order for it to work, which makes the witch vulnerable when unaware of an impending attack. Alex proved to be adept in using this ability, having quick reflexes to activate it and defend himself and others.

Adaption- The subconscious ability to physically and mentally adapt to the environment. When Alex dived in the water, he was instantly able to breath under water. He also proved this ability again when he was poisoned and his lungs expelled most of the poison. However, he still needed to be healed, and Alex stated he can't adapt to injuries.

Aerokinesis- The elemental ability to create, control and manipulate the air and wind. Alex used this ability to give him the appearance of flight more then once. He also used this to suck the air out of his enemies.

Telepath- The ability to hear and broadcast the thoughts of oneself and others. Alex gained this gift as a young boy, and had trouble distinguishing things he heard and what he read from peoples minds. He later on gained extensive use of this ability, including sleep induction, altering memories, projecting his thoughts, and manipulating dreams. He used this ability on Peyton and manipulated her dreams. 

Necromancy- The ability to manipulate and control the actions and thoughts of spirits and the undead. Alex gained this ability at thirteen when spirits began to actively haunted him. Alex is able to use this ability when he is out of his body and in it.

Spirit projection- The ability to project one's spirit into the other planes. Alex used this ability to communicate with other spirits in order to find out information. He is able to visit the mortal world too. Alex by an extension can sense someones spirit in this state, he used this ability more the once to find Peyton. 
Basic powers: High resistance- The ability to be resistant to attacks by weapons, or magic, or of other magical beings. They can survive what would have been lethal attacks, and also posses a higher tolerance to pain and can also recover quicker. Due to his ability adapt, this basic power is enhanced.
