The Sea & The Shore
I was like the sea and you were the shore,
You always turned me away
But I came with stronger waves than before.
Every time I touched your sandy skin
You told me I deserved more.
You told me you weren't perfect
And showed me the door.
Every time I was turned away
A piece of you I tore.
I kept all the pieces with me
And in my heart I let them pour.
The waves of my emotions
Crash in your body with roar.
Every shell I gifted you with love
You returned them to my core.
I fell for you harder
This time even more.
Sea was so stubborn
So was the shore.
The battle was of love
Both win and I'm forever yours.
