As we travel far out it starts to get hot. Some of the men where lucky to have horses as others did not I had to walk.
"Ahh this heat is killing me!" Nat groaned.
"Same here mom ami!" A tall man said to Nat also with a strong French accient.
I walk up to nats brother Nathaniel to see how his rash was doing.
"Nathaniel let me see your arm." Nathaniel give me his arm as I unrap the bandages.
"It's getting better when we stop by a lake or somewhere with water rinse it with the water to clean it."
"Alright thank you mon ami."
"I'm just doing my job."
"Hey Y/N I never really got to talk to you much earlier where ya from." Nat said rushing towards me.
"Virginia."
"Nice."
"Nattette!" My father orders.
"Yes general Washington!" Battery solutes.
"I need you to check with Lafayette up ahead to see if there is British troops ahead."
"Yes sir." Nat runs off as she also runs up with the tall guy who she was talking to earlier. That must be Lafayette.
As they go up my father orders the troops to stop for a moment. Finally I got to stop and rest my feet where killing me.
My father rides by on his horse as he is talking to another soldier about his plan to stop British soldiers. In my opinion the guy my father was talking with was non stop 24/7 talking. But I guess my father likes him. I never see my father act like this. So bold and powerful. I see that guy I ran into. I think his name was John Laurence.
"Laurance." I said.
"Oh hey y/n what's up!"
"Who is that guy mr. Washington is talking to?"
"That's Alexander Hamilton his right hand man. Hes one of my friends."
"Oh."
"Yeah I know what your thinking he talks to much. The poor guy doesn't know when to shut up. Oh and I wanted to ask you this when we get into the camp site do you want to have a drink with me and the boys at the tavern."
"Sure I would love to."
I see Nat and Lafayette rush back as my father sees them.
"Well." My father said.
"They must have stoped there earlier we found this." Nat placed a gun down on the ground.
"Move out men." My father orders.
We get up and we get back out onto the road. As I stay with Laurence and Nat as we walk.
We keep on going until the sun goes down.
